The tempo and skills the All Blacks have started with in this humidity is exceptional.

They have seen that the Canadians are not putting big numbers into the ruck and there is space around the fringes.

Penalty Try - New Zealand 7-0 Canadapublished at 4 mins

    Was it in doubt?

New Zealand skipper Kieran Read shows some neat footballing skills at the base of the scrum to pick and go.

Read grounds the ball just short but the referee awards a penalty try and the All Blacks are up and running.

    New Zealand 0-0 Canada

New Zealand are given a free-kick as Canada engage slightly early but Kieran Read opts to reset the scrum.

    We'll go again.

I imagine that the skipper Kieran Read will get withdrawn at half-time as Steve Hansen looks to protect him, but he is out there to try and get New Zealand off to a solid start.

    New Zealand 0-0 Canada

TJ Perenara, pumped after orchestrating the Haka, rides a couple of tackles before being held up over the line.

The All Blacks will have the scrum five metres out.

    Chance.

    New Zealand 0-0 Canada

The early signs are ominous as Scott Barrett collects his brother's kick off.

The All Blacks move it wide before bringing it back the other way and the Canadian defence are being dragged around.

Canada will want to be competitive in the way USA were against France. Don't give up and show the best of themselves. Take pride in the jersey and try to gain the respect of their opponents.

New Zealand v Canada (11:15 BST)

The All Blacks may be chasing a third consecutive world crown, but on home soil in 2011, New Zealand were chasing a first title in 24 years.

The coach to finally deliver the Webb Ellis Cup was Graham Henry, who will be in the opposite technical area today.

Henry has agreed to aid the Canadian team as a consultant in Japan, and he may just have a few tricks up his sleeve for his former team...

Savea's sight in his left eye has been deteriorating and he will now wear specially-designed glasses to protect his right eye.

"Obviously if my right eye goes, I might be potentially blind," he said.

Barrett brothers Beauden, Scott and Jordie will be the first sibling trio to start in a World Cup for New Zealand.

It will be only the second time three brothers have started a World Cup game, after Tonga's Fe'ao, Elisi and Manu Vunipola against Scotland in 1995.

Coach Steve Hansen makes 11 changes to the side that beat South Africa, with starts for centre Sonny Bill Williams and wing Rieko Ioane.

All signs point to a comfortable win for the All Blacks - who have won their last 15 matches at the World Cup - but Canada will be buoyed by Japan's surprise win over Ireland.

They couldn't pull off the biggest shock in the history of world rugby, could they..?

Kick off in Oita is at 11:15 BST.
