    Wales deserve this particular accolade because they've consistently been the most attractive and played the best rugby of any of the teams in the championship.

    What does it mean to all those people? It's difficult to describe if you don't live here, where rugby is more than your average game - it means a lot more.

    Wales' players and supporters have been counting down the final couple of minutes as the nation win their first Grand Slam since 1978 which will signal the mother of all parties on this sunny March day in Cardiff.

    What a cacophony of noise around the Millennium Stadium as Ireland attack Wales but find no way through.

    Martyn Williams has the final word and touch as he kicks the ball off the field into the stands to start the celebrations.

  14. Man of the Match - Dwayne Peel

    Wales scrum-half Dwayne Peel has been named man of the match by former England hooker Brian Moore and he has been excellent throughout the campaign.

    If anybody typifies the wonderful high-tempo attacking rugby Wales have produced in this championship, it is Peel.

    You imagine captain Michael Owen and centre Tom Shanklin would have pushed Peel close to this individual accolade against Ireland.
