A few questions were asked about George Furbank's inclusion. But he shows why Eddie Jones rates him with an excellent gather and kick deep into Italy territory. The England full-back almost teases Italy counterpart Matteo Minozzi into thinking he can collect, before the ball bounces away from his grasp and into touch.

Now then. England down to 14 men for the next eight minutes or so. Not in the plan.

I've never heard the word 'mitigating' said so loud. Jonny Hill would have breathed a huge sigh of relief when he heard it.

"I think it is a penalty and a yellow card," says Poite.

Gauzere agrees. He calls over Hill and explains the decision to the England man. Mitigating circumstances - presumably Sam Underhill knocking into Padovani too - reduces Hill's offence from a red to a yellow.

Not sure Eddie Jones agrees, judging by his gesticulating in the stands.

England debutant Jonny Hill whacks Italian wing Edoardo Padovani after he collects a high ball. Looks like Hill clattered Padovani around the head. Ref Pascal Gauzere asks TMO Romain Poite to take a gander...

Koba Fern: Not to be defeatist and I am a staunch England fan but, I'd love Italy to not be every teams 'cricket score' or the trying out of new players. Come on Italy, give us a scare.

Mark: Sinckler again. Overly cocky way too soon

That was under England's control. One or two passes weren't necessarily needed at that moment and Italy pounced.

    Polledri try, Garbisi missed con

Woah, where did this come from? Jake Polledri scores almost out of nothing for the home side.

Carlo Canna pounces on a juggle from Kyle Sinckler, handing over the ball to English-born Polledri who uses his pace and power to go over in the left corner.

Paolo Garbisi can't add the extras, though, from out on the touchline.

More good play from England as they quickly switch the ball from right to left. Anthony Watson picks up a neat offload from George Furbank, going sideways to take out several Italian defenders and shift the ball left. The ball is eventually kicked towards Jonny May but even he can't chase that down.

Italy almost look overawed by what they've got coming at them. They have shown too much respect to England and they've got to go and get them or it's going to be one-way traffic.

The Italians have got to get off the line and start making some tackles, don't they? They are just static.

We're 14 minutes into the game and Billy Vunipola is taking a six or seven metre run-up into the defensive line.

Interesting that England go for the posts when they need four tries. Time is certainly on their side.

No messing about from Owen Farrell, who doesn't even have to do any mental rehearsal and imagining. Dinked straight between the posts.

There was a debate about whether England would tear out of the blocks, or be a little more patient, in pursuit of this bonus-point win.

    Think that has been answered...

It was a brilliant inside line from Ben Youngs. The vision from Owen Farrell to look left and see Ben Youngs.

The Italians will be a little bit unhappy with the refereeing decision when Jonny May took out of the Italians in the air.

It was just perfect shapes from England. Normally in that situation with the ball out the back from the forwards, you'd expect Owen Farrell to be looking for the pass.

Italy are already slightly broken. Farrell went through their defence like a knife through butter.
