France are losing a bit of discipline on the ground - they give away another penalty.

    Ireland ball.

Nick Thompson: 100% class myself as a “tournament” fan but every time I watch rugby, I’m just in awe at how good the refereeing is and how spot on the respect to referee is. It’s everything football is missing I mean these blokes are refereeing in different languages!

This is going to change A LOT over the next hour or so.

But that early France try means Les Bleus jump above the Irish in the 'live' table.

    Long way to go, obvs.

A waste of a pen as they run it. France take the ball to the halfway line before Ireland regain possession.

    All a bit scrappy.

Ireland might as well go for it with the advantage of a man. When they are driving mauls, close to the line, there's a chance of another man in the bin and that would be nice for Ireland.

This was highlighted pre-match too, France will give you chances.

All about whether Hugo Keenan would definitely have picked up the grubber kick from Johnny Sexton.

The answer is no. It's a pen though.

Anthony Bouthier has sinned. And goes in the bin.

Look at the confidence and skill that created that score! It started with a piece of footwork and Antoine Dupont is always supporting on the inside. He's so influential in everything that he does and Ireland need to get a hold of him.

Converted try - France 7-0 Irelandpublished at 7 mins

    Antoine Dupont

    Oh dear Ireland.

Gael Fickou slips though the Ireland defence on the outside left and then feeds Antoine Dupont on his inside, who jogs over.

Romain Ntamack - from decent rugby stock, if you didn't know - slots over.

This has got to be the longest kick he has ever taken. That shows you Ireland's attitude, they want to keep the scoreboard ticking and have that scoreboard pressure.

    France 0-0 Ireland

    Brian Moore
Former England hooker on BBC TV

If France want to progress to be in contention for the 2023 World Cup, and they've got the players they think they've got, those players have to play with a professionalism and pride irrespective of the task in front of them.

They are badly second favourites to Ireland in terms of winning the Championship it should be in their head that they won't allow someone to come to their home ground and win a title.
