    Ireland 19-9 Wales

Flanker Justin Tipuric plays the link role for Wales out on the right wing to keep the attack moving.

This is the longest spell of possession for Wales in this match and they've got a penalty advantage.

The free play comes to nothing as Ireland gather Dan Biggar's kick.

    Better from Wales.

    Ireland 19-9 Wales

Wales wing Josh Adams combines well with Jonathan Davies and breaks into the Irish half.

Can Wales finally get their backline to fire?

  4. Replacementpublished at 55 mins

    Ireland 19-9 Wales

That clearance was Gareth Davies' last contribution.

The Wales scrum-half is replaced by Lloyd Williams.

  5. Penalty - Ireland 19-9 Walespublished at 54 mins

    Billy Burns

From the scrum five, Ireland set about battering the Welsh try line with a series of strong carries.

Wales' defence holds firm with some fierce tackling and they force a turnover, but scrum-half Gareth Davies' clearance is not a good one and Ireland come streaming back towards the visitors' line.

It will be a penalty for Ireland in front of the posts, which Billy Burns converts easily.

Considering the pressure they were under, Wales won't be too disappointed with that.

    Ireland 16-9 Wales

    That's brilliant from Caelan Doris!

The Irish number eight charges down Gareth Davies' kick and goes after the loose ball.

Doris gets there just before it rolls into touch and athletically flicks the ball back into play.

Cian Healy follows up but is held over the line by a superb covering tackle by Taulupe Faletau.

Wales have come out with a bit more fire in this second half.

But If Wales are going to win this game they have to start coming away with points.

  9. Penalty 16-9 Walespublished at 50 mins

    Leigh Halfpenny

Another penalty for Wales, this time against Hugo Keenan for holding on.

This is closer to the posts for Leigh Halfpenny, a little to the right but well within his range.

It's a crisp strike and Wales score the first points of the second half.

    Ireland 16-6 Wales

Number eight Caelan Doris is the latest Ireland player to concede a penalty, going off his feet at a ruck.

Dan Biggar misses touch with his kick.

Wales really need to give themselves a chance in attack sooner rather than later.

  11. Missed penaltypublished at 47 mins

    Ireland 16-6 Wales

The kicking tee is just inside the Welsh half and Leigh Halfpenny gives the penalty a right heave.

It's straight but it falls just short.

It's good to see Dan Biggar trying to use more of the aerial game.

The chase and follow-up was good on this occasion by Ryan Elias after he gets the turnover.

    Ireland 16-6 Wales

Wales earn a penalty on the halfway line and Leigh Halfpenny is going to have a shot at goal...

    Ireland 16-6 Wales

Different loose-head prop for Wales, same problems.

Wyn Jones is penalised this time, hinging says Mathieu Raynal. Big concerns for Wales.

Ireland clear from the penalty and that's an attacking platform lost for Wales.

    Ireland 16-6 Wales

Wales rattle through some phases inside the Irish 22, with centre Owen Watkin leading the way with a powerful carry.

The attack breaks down but that's already more than Wales showed in the first half.

An Irish knock-on means Wales have a scrum just outside the home side's 22.

    Ireland 16-6 Wales

A better start to the second half from Wales, who counter-ruck well to earn a penalty just inside their own half.

Dan Biggar kicks the penalty into touch deep inside the Irish half.

It is going to be difficult to turn things around in that second half with all the defending Wales are doing.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall on what was said in that changing room.

  19. Kick-offpublished at 41 mins

    Ireland 16-6 Wales

Ireland's replacement fly-half and debutant Billy Burns gets the second half under way.
