    Bristol 10-10 Toulon

Toulon are forced into an early change as try-scorer Bryce Heem has to head off and be replaced by Masivesi Dakuwaqa.

Heem appeared to clash heads with his own team-mate as they both chased a high ball.

I'm tired watching that - there's a lot going on!

But there was also a lot of aimless kicking, breaking up the rhythm of the game and I'm not entirely sure it's always on when both sides choose that option.

But that was a long passage of play.

    Bristol 10-10 Toulon

Lots of open play and the ball pinging backwards and forwards in the air as both sides try to use the kicking game to force an opening.

Hard work for both sides as the hits go in and the bodies hit the floor on this 4G surface.

Neither side wanting to give an inch as we move towards half-time.

Toulon respond strongly again after Bristol have another try chalked off.

Bristol tried a couple of tap-and-go penalties inside the 22, but they fail to execute on the floor when recycling and the French can clear their lines.

Another brilliant attack here from Bristol and they could be in for their second try through Joe Joyce.

But we're going upstairs for a closer look with TMO Brian McNiece.

They're in this game Toulon without really having shown that much in attack.

That's an ominous sign for Bristol after their dream start.

More ill-discipline from Bristol as Harry Thacker concedes a penalty on the floor just inside the Toulon half.

He is wrapped up by Eben Etzebeth in no time at all and the South African World Cup winner is a menace in those sort of situations.

Scores are level as Toulon slot a penalty.

Luke Morahan is penalised after not releasing on the floor after he'd gathered the high ball.

Toulon opt for the sticks rather than kicking for the corner and Louis Carbonel's second successful effort off the tee levels the scores at 10-10.

Having done the hard yards in driving Toulon over their own line, Bristol will be desperately disappointed they have not got the points for that.

I always worry that things like that might come back to bite you on the backside later in the game.

    Bristol 10-7 Toulon

Penalty to Toulon on the edge of their own line after Bristol are penalised for not driving straight.

Slaps on the back all round there for the Toulon pack who have been under pressure for the past few minutes.

They clear upfield and gain some territiory.

    Bristol 10-7 Toulon

Bristol think they've driven a rolling maul over for their second try, but it's going to be chalked off.

Harry Thacker looked to have finished it off once the pack was over the line, but replays show he fumbled that out of his hands just before grounding.

Good signs though for the Bears after they spent a considerable amount of time in the red zone after winning that scrum.

Toulon shoot themselves in the foot a bit from the restart as they drop the ball inside their own 22 and give Bristol a put in at the scrum and a chance to immediately make amends for conceding the try.

Bristol punished for one too many passes on the halfway line and some loose handling is capitalised on by the Toulon backs.

Isaia Toeiva unselfishly offloads the ball to his right to allow Bryce Heem to run it in and touch down on the counter.

Louis Carbonel converts for Toulon and we're back to three points.

    Bristol 10-0 Toulon

Bristol win a penalty as they force an error from Toulon on the floor after the first real prolonged period of phase play.

Callum Sheedy can kick to touch from his own 10-metre line to the Toulon 22.

    Bristol 10-0 Toulon

Bit of a moral victory for Toulon as former Worcester back Bryce Heem takes a good high ball from Harry Randall's box kick and wins a penalty for his side.

Toulon need a bit more of that to get a foot-hold in this match.

It could be a long night for Toulon if they keep allowing Semi Radradra to keep getting the ball so easily.

I think he's had four touches so far and has already made around 80 metres.

The dream start continues for Bristol as Toulon concede a penalty for holding on on the edge of their 22 as Semi Radradra again got clear with his power and pace.

Callum Sheedy notches three more points and Toulon once more have to restart.

They can't believe what's hit them so far.
