A break in play once more as Wasps prop Tom West changes his contact lenses again.

A chance for both sides to grab a breather too.

My word - this is why Jack Willis has been named player of the year.

Exeter look set for a second try to stretch their lead from the rolling maul, but Wasps pull it down to the ground and then Willis is over the ball to force the turnover and a penalty to his side.

Wasps almost in for a try down the left wing as Dan Robson charges down a kick from his opposite number Jack Maunder.

The ball just skids away on the wet surface though as he gives chase.

The rain is moving in a whole front, it's not like your typical rain, it looks more like sleet, it's white in colour and it's moving as a big blanket.

It's as bad as I've ever seen at Twickenham.

Apologies for a bit of half-time silence from me but I've just had to go and take shelter in the East Stand concourse here to dry off this laptop otherwise it may not make it to full-time!

Myself and the rest of the assembled written press have now retreated further under the cover of the roof!

Looking at the rain radar this monsoon at Twickenham is going to continue well into the second half. Tough conditions for any free flowing rugby.

Wasps go in three points down and I don't think Lee Blackett will be too concerned by the scoreboard.

The concerns are about the fitness of the Wasps team, there is going to have to be some changes upfront.

The weather is monsoon-like, it's a big half-time for Wasps.

And that ends a very interesting first half.

A try apiece and lots and lots to mull over.

Exeter with the three-point lead but there is definitely plenty more to come in this final.

Deep into additional time now in this first half and Exeter looking to regain the lead deep in Wasps' 22.

Penalty awarded in the end as Wasps don't release and Joe Simmonds will have another chance to slot a penalty.
