There's going to be that style of play - quick phases, the one two, then the kicking game, cross field kicks and highballs.

Whoever wins the battle of the air.

Rob Neave: Given our poor first half of the season, Wasps being in the final is already a huge achievement. Upsetting the magnificent Exeter would be unreal. Would’ve loved to have been there cheering the boys on today!

    Exeter Chiefs 0-0 Wasps

Wasps' turn to lose a line-out and then there's a bit of loose handling all round with the wet ball.

But good defence by Wasps sees them knock the ball out of Exeter hands and then Juan de Jongh thumps a clearance to touch back into Exeter's half.

    Exeter Chiefs 0-0 Wasps

Wasps disrupt that Exeter line-out and then win the ball on the floor on halfway before clearing upfield.

The kick-chase from them in the early stages is sharp but Exeter organise themselves in backfield in time.

    Good early tempo.

    Exeter Chiefs 0-0 Wasps

Early bit of kicking tennis ends with Dan Robson kicking out on the full from the edge of his 22.

First mistake from Wasps to give Exeter the line-out in an attacking position.

We'll pause though so Wasps prop Tom West can replace his contact lense!

    Exeter Chiefs 0-0 Wasps

Craig Maxwell-Keys is the man in charge of his first Premiership final.

He was of course a late replacement for Wayne Barnes who is self-isolating after testing positive for coronavirus earlier this week.

He blows his whistle and we're off!

A moment's pause before kick-off as the two teams and officials take a moment to remember those who have lost their lives during the coronavirus pandemic.

When it's wet and windy it's all about the nine players that are in front of you, the forward pack or the scrum-half.

If Wasps are to get into this game they are going to have to enter the bench because you can't go toe to toe with the Exeter 23 with 15 or 16 players, you've got to use everybody.

Wasps' very place in this final was in doubt right up until Wednesday morning because of a coronavirus outbreak within the club, which affected 11 players.

England back row Brad Shields is one of four of those 11 ruled out of this match.

Shields, props Kieran Brookes and Simon McIntyre and hooker Alfie Barbeary are also missing due to Covid-19 contact tracing protocols.

Ex-All Blacks centre Malakai Fekitoa is also out with a groin injury.

It means Lee Blackett has had to shuffle his pack a touch from the side which beat Bristol in the semi-final two weeks ago.

Tom Willis steps up from the bench to replace Shields at number eight and joins a pack that includes his brother and newly-crowned Premiership Player of the Year, Jack.

Tom West replaces McIntyre at loose-head while Jeff Toomaga-Allen starts for Brookes at tight-head and Juan de Jongh comes in at centre for the injured Fekitoa.

Wasps: Minozzi; Kibirige, de Jongh, Gopperth, Bassett; Umaga, Robson; West, Taylor, Toomaga-Allen, Launchbury (capt), Rowlands, J Willis, Young, T Willis.

Replacements: Oghre, Harris, Alo, Gaskell, Morris, Vellacott, Sopoaga, Le Bourgeois.

Exeter arrive at Twickenham looking to repeat the result from their last Premiership final victory against Wasps in 2017 and off the back of winning the European Champions Cup in dramatic style against Racing 92 last Saturday.

Rob Baxter makes four changes from that side with Scotland's Jonny Gray rested.

Compatriot Sam Skinner takes Gray's place in the second row, while Exeter opt for Jannes Kirsten at flanker in place of fellow South African Jacques Vermeulen.

Ollie Devoto starts for Ian Whitten at centre and Olly Woodburn replaces Tom O'Flaherty on the wing.

Exeter: Hogg; Nowell, Slade, Devoto, Woodburn; Simmonds (capt), Maunder; Hepburn, Cowan-Dickie, Williams, Skinner, Hill, Ewers, Kirsten, Simmonds.

Replacements: Yeandle, Moon, Francis, Gray, Vermeulen, Hidalgo-Clyne, Steenson, Ian Whitten.

An early weather warning for you pre-match - this may not be a classic due to the conditions!

It's windy and drizzly down at pitch level but hopefully there are some breaks in the cloud around south west London and we may not see this for the whole 80 minutes.

  20. Another classic final?published at 17:34 British Summer Time 24 October 2020

Exeter Chiefs v Wasps (18:00 BST)

Exeter Chiefs championsImage source, Rex Features

Last time these two met in the final in 2017, it went down as one of the greats.

Wasps fought back from 14-3 down to lead 20-17 with a minute or so left on the clock.

But Gareth Steenson's penalty made it level at full-time before the Exeter fly-half kicked the winning penalty in extra-time to give Chiefs their first ever Premiership title.

More of the same today please!
