Earlier in the week, Eddie Jones predicted that Scotland would feel the weight of those 38 years if they were still in the hunt in the closing stages.

We are about to find out if he was right.

Into the last quarter. The Scots are five points clear and 20 minutes away from a first away win over England since 1983.

George Turner picks out his jumper, the Scotland pack get the engine fired on the rolling maul, but they have the wrong man in the driving seat.

England have not played badly, they have been ill-disciplined, but Scotland have outplayed them.

Maro Itoje is pinged for pulling on a Scotland catcher's arm in the line-out. Red handed.

Finn Russell lines up the penalty shot. And misses. That should have been three points and a eight-point lead.

Scotland's backline are in the mood. Sean Maitland now gets motoring from deep.

England's bits-and-pieces chase is helping make the visiting runners look good.

It's a great game, with some great kicking. I'm still encouraged, but the only worry is the amount of possession Scotland have had in the England 22 but not taken their chances.

Stuart Hogg! That was top-shelf naughtiness from the Scotland captain.

The full back steps the chasing Elliot Daly, leaves Jonny Hill in the dust, swerves round Ben Youngs and is finally pulled to ground on halfway.

No-one like him in the northern hemisphere ball in hand sometimes.

Over it goes. Scotland are back out to five points clear. And they are back up to a full 15.

A really good start to the second half for the visitors.
