fussaboutnoone: Some days you get all the luck. That was never a try. Knock on all day. But we will take it.

Ben Buckley: That is an utter joke!

Tom McQuillin: This game is becoming a farce. If the first try was questionable, that one is truly fraudulent

  2. The wrong decisionpublished at 17:23 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 17-6 England

    James Hook
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

That's an incredible decision to be honest.

I know it went backward off his leg, but he didn't have control of the ball as it went forward.

I think he's made the wrong decision.

  3. 'England won't be happy'published at 17:23 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 17-6 England

    Jonathan Davies
Former Wales international on BBC One

If they weren't happy with the first try, then they won't be with that one! When you ride your luck you have to ride it well, and at the moment they are!

  4. 'A shambles'published at 17:21 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 15-6 England

    Matt Dawson
Former England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

He's knocked it on to his body, then it's gone straight down.

That is a shambles. Owen Farrell's temperature must be over 100.

    Even Wales can't believe it.

  5. try

Converted try - Wales 17-6 Englandpublished at 30 mins

    Liam Williams

This is a fairly lengthy check involving the television match official.

And it's given! Try for Wales! That's going to be a big talking point.

Referee Pascal Gauzere is happy to stay with the initial on-field decision.

Louis Rees-Zammit doesn't gather the kick through, the ball glances his hand but crucially it goes backwards, then on to his leg.

Liam Williams is then alert to the chance, pounces on the loose ball and dives over.

Dan Biggar converts and Wales now lead by 11.

Ok, the ref is very fussy but England need to be smarter and stop giving the ref an opportunity to blow the whistle. We do not seem to be learning.

    Rob, Midsomer Norton

Jon Smith: I’m not the worlds biggest Rugby fan, but Farrell should get a red card if he argues with the ref again and Eddie Jones should be sacked.

I think Eddie Jones needs to read the England players the rules of the game at half time. Ridiculous penalty count yet again.

    Nick, London.

  7. Try reviewpublished at 30 mins

    Wales 10-6 England

Lovely hands from the Wales backs sees the ball worked wide to Taulupe Faletau, and the number eight canters into the English 22.

England's tackling is firm, shackling George North and then Faletau again.

A kick through by Josh Adams almost finds its way to Louis Rees-Zammit, but the young wing can't gather.

Liam Williams pounces on the loose ball and touches down. Referee Pascal Gauzere will check with the TMO.

Former Wales international on BBC One

The game has not come alive, there is a lot of kicking. No-one's grabbed it by the scruff of the neck, kept possession as a platform to go on the attack.

    Wales 10-6 England

    Maro Itoje concedes ANOTHER penalty.

This time the England lock is offside as he tries to charge down a kick by Kieran Hardy.

Wales kick the penalty into touch on the cusp of the English 22.

    Gareth Griffiths
BBC Sport Wales at Principality Stadium

You can hear the bone-crunching tackles first hand and also in the stands, some chat from some of the Principality Stadium employees watching the game.

But most of all you can hear the piercing whistle of French referee Pascal Gauzere with both sides giving away penalties. Neither side has really settled.

    Wales 10-6 England

Wales pinch England's line-out thanks to good work by Adam Beard.

The home side then work the ball wide to the right flank and then back to the left, where Josh Adams kicks ahead but Anthony Watson is on hand to gather for England and secure a 22 drop-out.

Which suburb of Cardiff is this ref from?

    Anon

    Luckiest Welsh try ever scored.

    Calum Hogan.

This ref is an absolute joke, he may as well just give this to Wales! Clear agenda and showed it with “I speak first” you want games to be fair and this isn’t.

    Brian, Newport

  13. 'England can't sustain pressure'published at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 10-6 England

    Rhys Patchell
Wales fly-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

England are very bitty at the moment. They can't build any phases or sustain any pressure.

They've picked up six points through Welsh ill discipline.

    Wales 10-6 England

Wales concede a free-kick from that scrum and George Ford hoofs it deep into the Welsh half.

Kieran Hardy box-kicks clear for Wales and the ball bounces out of play near the halfway line.

All rather nip and tuck at this stage.

  15. Contrasting exitspublished at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 10-6 England

    James Hook
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

There's two different tactics at the moment when exiting from the twenty-two: England are happy to go off the park and leave Wales have possession from the lineout, while Wales are kicking very long and are happy for England to have the ball and attack them.

  16. Postpublished at 24 mins

    Wales 10-6 England

England have a scrum inside their own half and it's a chance for everyone to catch their breath after a lively old start to this game.

Stuart Mitchell: At this rate I don't know if it will be Itoje or Farrell that's first to be sent off.

Ralph Brooker: England’s indiscipline seems genetic. In the DNA.

  19. 'Vunipola itching to get involved'published at 17:10 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    Wales 10-6 England

    Matt Dawson

Some England players have been questioned over the past couple of weeks.

Billy Vunipola has been one of them by his own admission and he is itching to get involved now.

    Wales 10-6 England

Initially a strong response from England to that Welsh try but, no sooner are the away side venturing into the opposition half, they cough up possession again after conceding yet another penalty.

Poor discipline is costing England so far.
