    Italy 7-48 Wales

Rees-Zammit presses the accelerator and glides in from 80 metres.

He picked off the interception and just looked so cool in sprinting three-quarters of the length of the field.

    Louis Rees-Zammit

There is no stopping Louis Rees-Zammit ANYWHERE on a rugby field!

The 20-year-old Wales wing intercepts an Italian pass inside his own 22, fires those jet packs in his heels and he's off.

Italy's players give chase, but in the most cursory fashion imaginable.

They've got about as much chance of catching Rees-Zammit as I have of becoming Italian, flying to Rome in five minutes and winning the game for the Azzurri.

Callum Sheedy converts and Wales are two points short of a half-century.

  4. Wales bench emptiedpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    Italy 7-41 Wales

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Wales with all eight replacements on and those were completed after 57 minutes.

So if there is an injury, other than a HIA or blood, Wales will have to play with 14.

  5. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Italy 7-41 Wales

A good clearing kick from Italy's Welsh-born scrum-half Stephen Varney takes the ball into the Welsh 22.

Some might say Italy are playing for pride now, but there can't even be much of that left by now.

  6. Sheedy shinespublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    Garin Jenkins
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

It's great to see Sheedy getting his first try for Wales after coming on and knocking over those pressure kicks against England.

He had plenty of room to razzle-dazzle there.

  7. Non-contested scrumspublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    Italy 7-41 Wales

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

I think it's going to be passive scrums for the time being as the original Italian tighthead Zilocchi failed a HIA.

  8. try

Converted try - Italy 7-41 Walespublished at 60 mins

    Callum Sheedy

No Ken, no problem for Wales, whose maul is still a weapon with the two-try hooker Owens off the field.

With penalty advantage, another try looks inevitable for Wayne Pivac's men but Jonathan Davies' pass for Josh Adams is a poor one and the ball is lost.

Callum Sheedy then takes a quick-tap penalty inside the Italian 22 and the forwards truck it up towards the Italian try line.

Italy initially stand firm before Sheedy glides past for a smart score which he converts.

  9. Sin-binpublished at 57 mins

    Italy 7-34 Wales

As is often the case when there are a raft of replacements on both sides, the game has become a little disjointed.

Italy have the ball in the Welsh half but referee Wayne Barnes stops the game to check with TMO Tom Foley about some potential foul play by Marco Riccioni.

Italy's replacement prop looks to have led with his elbow into a tackle from Wales replacement centre Willis Halaholo.

Riccioni's elbow made contact with Halaholo's throat and the Italian goes into the sin-bin.

  12. Ball has served Wales wellpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    Italy 7-34 Wales

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Here comes Jake Ball for his 50th international.

The big man, anglo-Welsh via Australia, but he's served his nation well.

He replaces Alun Wyn Jones, somewhat ironic given their alleged clash in training before the first international which won't have helped his chance of selection.

  13. Replacementpublished at 55 mins

    Italy 7-34 Wales

    Wales' changes continue.

It's not often you see Alun Wyn Jones replaced, but this is a good opportunity to give him a little rest before next weekend's finale in Paris.

Jake Ball wins his 50th cap as he comes on for the Wales captain.

Scrum-half Lloyd Williams and fly-half Callum Sheedy are all on now as well, as is hooker Elliot Dee.

That means Ken Owens is off. No hat-trick for the Sheriff.

  14. More tries out there for Walespublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    Italy 7-34 Wales

    Garin Jenkins
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

The longer this game goes on, Wales should get another 20 points as space is opening up.

Italy are giving silly penalties away. This could well be 60 points.

  15. Encouraging signs for Italypublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    Tom Shanklin
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

Italy have looked decent when they can actually get the ball in wide channels.

  16. Disallowed trypublished at 54 mins

    Italy 7-34 Wales

There will be a TMO review, but that looks like a beautifully crafted try.

The set-up is fine, Louis Rees-Zammit playing a fine hand in freeing Josh Adams on the left wing.

In fact, Adams' foot is in touch as he attempts to ground the ball.

    Try disallowed. Unlucky for Adams.

  17. A lifeline for pridepublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    Italy 7-34 Wales

    Garin Jenkins
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

That's the second time they've had composed ball from the lineout and they've scored from this opportunity.

It's a bit of a lifeline for Italy to show some pride in this game.

  18. try

Converted try - Italy 7-34 Walespublished at 51 mins

    Monty Ioane

Out of nothing, Italy respond with a fine try from Monty Ioane.

The wing does not have much space to work with on the left flank but he chips ahead and gathers before finishing smartly in the corner.

Ioane is a dangerous player and that's the only proper sight of the try line Italy have had all game.

Paolo Garbisi converts beautifully from the touchline.

  19. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Italy 0-34 Wales

The game is starting to open up even more, though Italy's feeble attempts at trying to get back into the contest are undermined by their handling errors.

  20. Owens eyes hat-trick glorypublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    Italy 0-34 Wales

    Nick Webb

Ken Owens tries a grubber-kick on the wing, what are you doing Ken Owens? Oh dear.

He had visions of glory there.
