    Italy 0-27 Wales

Italy have a line-out a little outside the Wales 22 and this time it's the Italian maul which generates some attacking momentum.

This is a first defensive test for Wales this afternoon, and they're having to weather a decent spell of pressure from their opponents here.

But excellent work from Jonathan Davies eases that pressure, the Wales centre doing superbly to rip the ball from Italy.

Louis Rees-Zammit clears and the Italians' misery continues.

Try - Italy 0-27 Walespublished at 30 mins

    Ken Owens

It's another for the Sheriff of Carmarthen!

Wales' maul has been such a potent weapon today and that gives hooker Ken Owens a chance to score his second try of the game.

This is a little harder for the Scarlets man, but after brushing off the initial contact he stretches over for Wales' fourth try.

That's the bonus point in the bag after just half an hour.

Dan Biggar's conversion hits the post and out.

The pleasing thing for me is the width Wales are playing with.

You're seeing a lot of forwards, like Faletau and Tipuric, on the touchline.

That's something that we didn't see too much with Warren Gatland, but it's the way Wayne Pivac wants to play.

While another hammering will further increase scrutiny on Italy’s place in the Six Nations, the irony is that events of this week have actually strengthened their hand even if they take a massive thrashing by Wales this afternoon.

The CVC deal secures them as an equal partner for the next five years, with Six Nations boss Ben Morel telling us this week the Championship is “precious” and any changes “would need to be extremely carefully studied”.

    Italy 0-22 Wales

Wales' maul is solid once more, and Italy bring it down illegally to give Wales yet more penalty advantage.

Cory Hill comes close to powering his way over for Wales' fourth try but is held up just short.

Another penalty, another Dan Biggar kick to the corner.

Wales are utterly dominant, Italy are a shambles.

    Italy 0-22 Wales

Another excellent Welsh maul takes them into the Italian half.

Taulupe Faletau looks to free his hands in a wide left channel, before Liam Williams tries to kick ahead for Louis Rees-Zammit on the opposite flank.

It doesn't come off but Wales had advantage for a ruck offence from Italy, so the visitors will have a penalty.

Dan Biggar kicks into touch inside the Italy 22 for another line-out attacking opportunity.

Italy look far more dangerous when they're taking the ball flat with their big carriers, the likes of Meyer and Negri.

    Italy 0-22 Wales

Referee Wayne Barnes is checking with television match official Tom Foley about a tackle from Dan Biggar on Italy flanker Johan Meyer.

It doesn't seem too dangerous. A little high perhaps but seems safe enough.

Barnes decides the fly-half's tackle is fine and Wales will have a line-out just outside their own 22.

Better from Italy, who recycle the ball effectively and home in on the Welsh 22.

But just as it seems the hosts might be building momentum, wing Mattia Bellini is swallowed up by Josh Adams and wrestled into touch.

Converted try - Italy 0-22 Walespublished at 21 mins

    Ken Owens

    Messy indeed for Italy.

Wales' line-out - probably the most improved facet of their game in this Six Nations - functions perfectly once more.

Under no pressure from Italy, Wales get their rolling maul into gear and hooker Ken Owens is at the back of it to score what might be his easiest try in a red shirt.

    Dan Biggar converts.

Wales have another penalty inside the Italian 22 as the Azzurri are offside.

    Italy 0-15 Wales

    Garin Jenkins
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

Wales certainly took advantage of Italy being down to 14 men.

It's the most comfortable start that we can remember.

If you look back two years ago when Wales won the Grand Slam, we stuttered to victory, but at the moment it looks like a cake walk for Wales.

    Italy 0-15 Wales

This has the feel of a training session for Wales at the moment.

From a solid line-out of theirs inside the Italy half, Wales work through the phases with little or no pressure before Dan Biggar prods a low kick into the Italian 22.

The home side clear and it will be another Wales line-out just outside the Italian 22.

    Italy 0-15 Wales

Wales are almost in for a third try but Josh Adams knocks on wide on the left wing.

Pascal Gauzere, the referee when Wales beat England with a fair bit of controversy a fortnight ago, is the assistant referee on that side.
