Insane defence from Ireland. Will Connors somehow prevents Duhan van der Merwe from going over in the corner.

But, they still have the ball. They simply HAVE to score.

Replacement scrum-half Scott Steele has been forced to play flanker here. One to tell the grandkids about!

Scotland surge down the field off first phase, and Duhan van der Merwe swats away Keith Earls, only to be battered into touch by the jubilant Robbie Henshaw. Great hit.

James Lowe is not having his finest display. He was partly to blame for both of Scotland's tries, and now passes straight into touch.

A shake of the head from the Leinster wing. Scotland have the lineout in their own half. You wouldn't back them to win in, though.

Scott Cummings has badly hurt his shoulder here while attempting a tackle. He's grimacing. No wonder. Off he goes.

That's a good impact from Huw Jones. That's what Scotland have been looking for because it has been moving slightly away from them in the second half

    Huw Jones

    What a try.

Scotland take a quick free-kick from the scrum, it's shuffled wide and Stuart Hogg ships the ball to replacement Huw Jones who slices through the Ireland defence to touch down. What an impact.

James Lowe and Hugo Keenan won't want to see that again in the review. Poor defending. Stuart Hogg adds the extras for Scotland.

    Game on.

    Scotland 10-24 Ireland

Good refereeing from Romain Poite as he calls Finn Russell's restart as going straight out, but replays show it bounced in play. Just.

The Frenchman reverses his initial decision. That's the second time we've seen officials change their mind this weekend. Common sense prevails.

Scotland have a glimmer of hope as Dave Kilcoyne gets penalised.

But Finn Russell puts his kick to touch dead. Unforgiveable error really when you're 14 points down with 23 minutes left. Errors, errors, errors.

  14. Penalty - Scotland 10-24 Irelandpublished at 55 mins

    Johnny Sexton

Yet another penalty goes Ireland's way as Jamie Ritchie is pinged for not rolling out of the ruck.

The visitors just get more impressive as the game wears on.

The Scotland hype train heading for another derailment as things stand...

That's more what Ireland are about, attacking in the 22. They brought some pace there, the forwards came around the corner and with the quality of ball carrier Ireland have, if they're getting yard after yard they're almost impossible to stop.

    Tadhg Beirne

The green wave comes to an end with Beirne burrowing his way over.

Scotland thought they had held it up, and the grounding isn't really clear, but referee Romain Poite says he saw the ball on the ground.

Johnny Sexton thumps the kick over and Ireland are well in control. A great start to the second period!

    Scotland 10-14 Ireland

Hugo Keenan is putting in a colossal aerial performance. It's like the spirit of Rob Kearney coming to rain on Scotland's parade once again.

And Ireland exert more pressure at the breakdown, with Scotland not releasing.

Johnny Sexton opts for the corner. Big lineout coming up.

    Scotland 10-14 Ireland

End-to-end. Hamish Watson puts in a chop tackle, Jamie Ritchie gets over the ball and the penalty is theirs.

It's Scotland's turn to hoof it down field. But they lose ANOTHER lineout.

James Ryan is having the time of his life for Ireland.
