    England hit back thanks to an excellent combination of Marcus Smith and Freddie Steward. Owen Farrell nailed the conversion to put England 7-3 up.

    The teams then exchanged penalties and after 25 minutes the hosts still held the lead with 13-9.

    Tom Wright was sent to the bin after his shoulder hit Jamie George in the head.

    Nic White managed to stop what looked like a certain Jamie George try and the hooker looked as if he may have been injured in the exchange.

    After a couple more penalties, England ended the half 16-12 up.

    Not a happy end to the half for England.

    It was such a fiery start from the hosts, but trailed off towards the end and Jamie George looks particularly unhappy as he hobbles back down the tunnel.

    But Smith bounces back to his feet, sweeps the hair out of his eyes and puts on a brave face.
