They had a lot of ball in their hands. They look better when they're spontaneous. When they go quick they look far more dangerous. They need to trust themselves to play at the right times.

You're a proper team if you're down on all the stats at half-time but you go in in front.
That is an impressive 40 minutes from a Scotland side who have delivered more than the 60,000 in the stadium could have asked for given the amount of possession England have had.
England have had all of the ball, but Scotland go into the interval with their noses in front.
Ben White, who was only on for 10 minutes or so, with the only try so far.

That will settle Marcus Smith down a bit with kicking. It was a lovely connection and straight through the middle.
He is directing the show beautifully. It is just whether the team around him can get on his wavelength because Scotland's defence so far has been nothing short of brutal.
It's a one-point game as Marcus Smith pops over an easy one after a breakdown infringement from Jamie Ritchie.

That was outstanding defence. It looked like England had momentum going forward. Scotland somehow managed to stop it and held them up when there was a breakaway.

England with a penalty advantage, Ben Youngs breaks, then an ambitious cross-field kick is just too beefy for Henry Slade to gather.

England have been flat out the whole time. Scotland seem to have this lovely wave of emotion and intensity that stems from their senior players.

It's really confident play from Scotland. Duhan van der Merwe has a run. He's not the best kicker but he's going to look for space. That's what he adds to Scotland's play.
