    Try number two.

England retain the ball from the line-out and then it's all about the speed of ball.

The forwards tuck it up the jumper as they edge forward before Jamie George gets over from close range.

You cannot play without the ball and Italy have dominated possession since the try. They are mixing their game up nicely

Italy flex their muscles for the first time.

Eddie Jones warned of Paolo Garbisi's boot before the game and the Italy fly-half emphasises his threat.

A neat chip over the onrushing England defence is claimed by a blue shirt and moved wide quickly.

The home crowd urge their boys on but the attack is eventually snaffled by England.

We are just having a slight pause in proceedings as Jack Nowell receives attention from the England medic.

The winger is on his feet but the game is stopped as the referee looks back at the footage to determine if it is a head injury.

It's not and play can resume.

Andrew Priestley: A very young and experimental English XV. With only x2 more summer tours, x1 6 Nations and x1 set of Autumn Tests between now and the next RWC, there isn’t too many more opportunities to blood youth and try different combinations on the big stage.

They will have scored no end of tries like that in training this week. They played to the wide outside, put Nowell away, and Italy thought they had it covered but Malins is a glider and eases past players. He committed the full-back and threaded the needle with that little pass.

    Marcus Smith (con Smith)

    England set their stall out.

Marcus Smith is looking to get his hands on the ball and move it quickly, and the fly-half dots down for his second try in as many games.

He holds onto the ball long enough to cause enough doubt in the Italian defence and the pass to Max Malins puts the winger through.

Smith gets it back on the inside and the visitors are up and running. He also adds the conversion.

England already look a shambles. Giving away penalties and an unforced handling error after they got their scrum wrong. Eddie Jones is a busted flush and should be sacked.

    Welcome to Rome, Harry Randall.

The England scrum-half is clattered by Braam Steyn after he throws the ball wide.

The Italian flanker is penalised for a late tackle but it was a meaty hit.

I've watched Harry Randall play a lot of age group rugby and he has never changed - he always plays at 100 mph.

    Now then.

First scrum of the game and England get little change out of this hefty Azzurri pack.

If anything, the blue shirts were pushing forward as Alex Dombrandt decides to carry the ball from the base.

    That will please the hosts.

The referee's arm is out as England hold Italy up in the maul.

That decision is met by collective cheers by the men in white. They're certainly up for this.

Italy start on the front foot and England are penalised for getting up in defence too early.

The hosts will pop this into touch deep in English territory for the first line-out of the game.
