This could be a long car journey home for someone.

Jason Holmes, from Cheddar, Somerset, and Shauna David, from Bridgend, are regulars at this fixture.

Even Jason admits the Principality Stadium usually tops Twickenham for atmosphere, but he is confident England can get the job done on home territory as they have in every Six Nations meeting between these two in England, bar two.

Wales do look set to win one contest though. The pair are house-hunting at the moment and their search radius is on the western side of the border.

This is where we're at after France's dominant win against Scotland. No chance of either England or Wales making it to the top of the table after losing their opening games.

But with both sides yet to face France, they can still give themselves a chance at the title with victory.

  6. Biggar wants a repeat of 2015published at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2022

    England v Wales (16:45 GMT)

The last time Wales won at Twickenham was the 2015 World Cup win that broke English hearts.

Wales captain Dan Biggar wants more of the same today.

"It (2015) was a brilliant result - character and roll the sleeves up job," he said.

"For any team going away and winning in tough places like Twickenham, at some point, you've got to roll your sleeves up and that's what we'll have to do on Saturday."

It was 08:00 GMT this morning that three generations of the same family piled into a car in Suffolk and headed down to London.

Grandfather David Smith (back right) is joined by grandson Stanley Holland (front left) and parents Chris and Kirsty. Stanley plays for Beccles under-eights. His favourite part of the rugby? Games of bulldog and post-training hotdogs.

I think we can all get on board with that...

Ben Youngs will surpass Jason Leonard's record of 114 caps for England's men if he comes off the bench today.

The scrum-half still has a way to go to reach the record of 137 set by women's world champion prop Rocky Clark, but that mark could be achievable if he continues until the next World Cup in 2023.

    And finally we are back.

The last Six Nations game at Twickenham in front of fans was nearly two years ago, against the same opposition. That day England withstood a late Wales fightback and the loss of Manu Tuilagi to a red card to win 30-33 in front of nearly 82,000 fans.

A couple of weeks later and the United Kingdom was in full lockdown as the Covid-19 pandemic swept in.

A late kick-off has encouraged some of Twickenham's regulars to make up for lost time. Fully three hours before kick-off and the stadium forecourt was rammed with the lanyard brigade.

    Scotland 17-36 France

It's all over at Murrayfield and France have claimed another dominant bonus-point win.

This match at Twickenham is must-win for both England and Wales, but they'd also have to get past this seemingly unbeatable French side to claim the Six Nations title...

For the first time in the history of this fixture, both captains come from the same club.

Northampton team-mates Courtney Lawes and Dan Biggar are usually good friends, but club captain Lewis Ludlam says they are "polar opposites" in their leadership style.

Ludlam is also certain there will be no signs of friendship once they take to the Twickenham turf. Here is what the Northampton skipper had to say about the pair.

  14. Rees-Zammit will 'bounce back'published at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2022

    England v Wales (16:45 GMT)

While a lot of the current talk is about Elliot Daly taking Manu Tuilagi's place in the England team, one notable Wales omission is wing Louis Rees-Zammit.

The 21-year-old was one of the stars of the side's title-winning campaign in last year's tournament and was nominated for World Rugby's breakthrough player of the year award.

But after failing to make a mark during Wales' opening two games, he has been dropped.

"It's never easy when selection doesn't quite go your way for one reason or another," captain Dan Biggar said.

"But, for him, I'd say, 'You're a young guy, you've got tonnes of time to bounce back'."

Luke Aylward: Elliot Daly starting at 13 must give you a huge confidence boost. If you’re a Wales fan. Surely Marchant should have started, unless 13 is the new place to hide a long-range place kicker you might never need.

Manu Tuilagi still has pride of place in England's midfield in the match programme. The 30-year-old pulled out of the match about eight hours after being named in the team with a hamstring issue, which was about eight hours after the souvenir was printed.

Tuilagi's first Test appearance was against Wales in a Rugby World Cup warm-up match back in August 2011. Then 20, he scored a terrific try that confirmed his status as a coming superstar of the game.

It hasn't quite worked out like that. He has played only another 45 Tests for England since then, fewer than he has missed during Eddie Jones' time in charge alone.

Wales have recalled Taulupe Faletau and Josh Adams for this one.

They are the only two changes made by head coach Wayne Pivac to the team which beat Scotland in round two.

Faletau - returning after seven months out with an ankle injury - is in the back row instead of Jac Morgan and wing Adams replaces Louis Rees-Zammit.

Adams missed the home win over Scotland with a calf problem.

Wales: L Williams; Cuthbert, Watkin, Tompkins, Adams; Biggar (capt), T Williams; W Jones, Elias, Francis, Rowlands, Beard, Moriarty, Basham, Faletau.

Replacements: Lake, G Thomas, Brown, S Davies, Morgan, Hardy, Anscombe, J Davies.

For England, Harry Randall gets a perhaps surprising start at nine over record-breaker-to-be Ben Youngs.

In the pack, Courtney Lawes is back from a long concussion lay-off to captain the side.

Kyle Sinckler starts in the front row for his 50th cap, with Maro Itoje moving to the second row to make way for Lawes.

Randall is the filling in an excitingly youthful 8-9-10 sandwich, with Alex Dombrandt starting at eight and Marcus Smith at 10.

England: Steward; Malins, Daly, Slade, Nowell; Smith, Randall; Genge, Cowan-Dickie, Sinckler, Ewels, Itoje, Lawes (Capt), Curry, Dombrandt.

Replacements: George, Marler, Stuart, Isiekwe, Simmonds, Youngs, Ford, Marchant.
