It's really tight. I didn't expect to feel so nervous throughout the half. Scotland have come out strong and are here to play. They have put Ireland on the back foot for a lot of this match.

What an absolute cracker match. There was always talk about whether Scotland could compete with Ireland. Boy, have they.

What a brilliant first half!

Huw Jones' converted try had Scotland 7-3 in front, before Mack Hansen's brilliant finish restored Ireland's lead.

Scotland have had chances, but Ireland's defence has been excellent.

Scotland get over the gain line brilliantly with Sione Tuipulotu and then go wide.

It ends up in the hands of hooker George Turner after a brilliant tackle from Hugo Keenan.

The hooker is shoved into touch. Chance gone.

After a couple of scrums Scotland get away, and then a penalty for offside just inside Ireland's half.

It's just out of range for a kick at goal. Finn Russell kicks it into the 22.

Big chance for Scotland as the clock goes red.

Andrew Priestley: Ireland have emptied half of their bench inside 25 minutes, that could prove to be telling in the final stages of this game.

Jack Connan's offload just inside Scotland territory is forward, so we'll have another scrum.

Scotland got a free kick from the first one. A huge moment just before the break.

Ronan Kelleher overthrows at the lineout, which allows Scotland to spin the ball wide and Huw Jones wellies the ball down the pitch.

It's very frantic. Utterly compelling.

He gets a pass away but the Scotland scramble defence just about does its job in the 22.

Ireland get to the 5m line and Stuart Hogg infringes. They'll come again...

Scotland create space out wide for Duhan van der Merwe and he goes close to the line.

But he's isolated because it's off the lineout and James Lowe gets in to win the penalty.

Then Scotland get marched back for talking back to referee Luke Pearce.
