There is another short break in play as Ireland captain Aoife Dalton is looked at by the medical team.

    She will continue though.

    Scrum time.

Ireland perhaps have not been able to utilise the wind as well in the second half as Wales did in the first but they have kept at the task.

With just under ten minutes to go it might not change the result but it will definitely be confidence boosting to see that zero disappear off the scoreboard.

A brilliant shift by Gwenllian Pyrs!

    Wales 31-5 Ireland

Wales steal the ball back at the line-out and look to break quickly through Courtney Keight.

The full-back beats one defender but her offload is behind Ffion Lewis who can only knock it forward.

Ireland will have the put in on half way.

  5. Replacementpublished at 72 mins

    Wales 31-5 Ireland

Ireland prop Linda Djougang is replaced by Niamh O'Dowd.

Wales also make a change in the front row, Caryl Thomas on for Gwenllian Pyrs.

    Wales 31-5 Ireland

Wales secure the line-out but Sioned Harries is penalised for double movement.

The hosts manage to steal the ball back after the Irish line-out but Elinor Snowsill's clearing kick goes out on the full.

Ireland will have an attacking line-out just outside the Welsh 22.

Ireland have been much better in the last 15 minutes. That's well deserved for their efforts.

I know it matters little in the grand scheme of things, but Ireland are level in the second half.

  8. Postpublished at 69 mins

    Wales 31-5 Ireland

Ireland look to take advantage of the wind again but this time Courtney Keight gathers the ball well and gets back to her 10-metre line.

Ireland are then penalised at the breakdown for going off their feet and Wales kick into Irish territory.

It's great to see Caryl Thomas and Kat Evans coming on because it's a position where we need to build strength in depth particularly at hooker obviously with Carys Phillips being out injured at the moment, it's great to have a look at other players.

  10. try

Try - Wales 31-5 Irelandpublished at 67 mins

    Nichola Fryday

Ireland are on the board through their captain.

The on-field decision was a try and there was not clear evidence to overturn that decision so the score is given.

Ireland deserve the score for their resilience if nothing else.

Vicky Irwin's conversion drifts just wide.

  11. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Wales 31-0 Ireland

Ireland think they have scored, but referee Amber McLachlan wants to take a look.

We will go to the television match official Ian Tempest, who has had a reasonably quiet day.

  12. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Wales 31-0 Ireland

Ireland are within two metres - though potentially lucky not to have been penalised for obstruction.

Instead Wales are penalised for offside, and Ireland look like they want to take this quickly.

  13. More Irish pressurepublished at 65 mins

    Wales 31-0 Ireland

Ireland eventually opt to kick through to touch and force Wales into a defensive line-out.

Wales do secure possession but the clearing kick from Ffion Lewis only just reaches her own 22-yard line.

Another good platform for Ireland to attack from here.

  14. Replacementspublished at 64 mins

    Wales 31-0 Ireland

One change for Ireland sees Hannah O'Connor on for Nicole Cronin.

Wales also make a change as Kat Evans replaces Kelsey Jones at hooker.

  15. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Wales 31-0 Ireland

Ireland are going through the phases nicely, something they have struggled to do for long spells this afternoon.

They are still on the edge of the Wales 22 but are looking more threatening.

Huge cheers for Keira Bevan as she comes off the pitch alongside Sisilia Tuipulotu and Hannah Jones.

The scrum-half has always faced stiff competition with Ffion Lewis for the starting nine jersey, with both players among Wales' first 12 full-time professionals.

She looks to have secured that shirt ahead of Scotland next week with today's performance.

  17. Irish versatilitypublished at 63 mins

    Wales 31-0 Ireland

There's a lot of versatility in the Irish team, as you can see by the back line.

Nicole Cronin, who started at fly-half, has switched to scrum-half.

Molly Scuffil-McCabe, who was the starting nine, is now on the wing and Dannah O'Brien, who is actually without a number on her jersey, has slotted into the fly-half position.

  18. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Wales 31-0 Ireland

The wind is adding at least 10 metres to each of Ireland's clearances, as it did for Wales in the first half.

And that extra distance is enough to distract replacement Hannah Bluck who knocks the ball forward on her own 22-yard line.

Another chance for Ireland to attack and get on the scoresheet.

You've got to give credit to this Irish team with a score-line like that, they could've easily self-combusted themselves but they haven't.

They're staying in the fight, that's one thing you can never question these Irish girls about is their work-ethic and their pride.

    Triple change for Wales.

On come Cerys Hale, Ffion Lewis and Hannah Bluck.

Off go Sisilia Tuipulotu, Keira Bevan and captain Hannah Jones.
