    Gareth Anscombe

This time he gets it. As I said those are his first World Cup points on his 12th appearance.

Wales needed that to take the sting out of Australia.

We're hearing that some Wales fans have only just taken their seats in the stadium, due to an issue at the entrances which meant their tickets weren’t working.

But it doesn’t seem to be a widespread issue - the concourse outside the stadium is now largely empty.

  3. Missed penalty - Gareth Anscombepublished at 19 mins

    Wales 7-6 Australia

Perhaps he was still in pain but Anscombe hits the post with a penalty.

Bizarrely, Anscombe has NEVER scored in the World Cup.

Gareth Anscombe also has some very sore ribs right now after a huge hit from Marika Koroibete. He really did feel that.

It is such a shame for Dan Biggar to go off you do not want to see that.

That time against Fiji he took a shot and played through it, sensible in a way for him to go off.

Gareth Anscombe has a point to prove he has had a torrid time with injuries, but this is the best preparation he has had.

    Wales 7-6 Australia

Josh Adams turns defence into attack with one big hoof of that right foot which has Australia scampering back.

At least Wales are back in Australia territory at last.

    Wales 7-6 Australia

After that stunning early try, Wales have barely touched the ball in the opening 16 minutes. Australia are pushing them back.

Ben Donaldson makes a half break. He looks a real threat.

  8. Anscombe 'needs to get right up to speed from the off'published at 15 mins

    Wales 7-6 Australia

    James Hook
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

It's a huge opportunity but what a pressure moment to come in. Gareth Anscombe hasn't played a lot of rugby but he is used to big big matches, he needs to get right up to speed from the off.

  9. Penalty - Wales 7-6 Australiapublished at 14 mins

    Ben Donaldson

Interesting. First scrum and Australia win a penalty that Donaldson pings over with ease. We're back to within a point.

    Nicky Robinson
Former Wales and Cardiff fly-half on BBC Radio Cymru

I think he's pulled a muscle in his breast. You think you can play on and you're okay but you're not.

If that's what's happened it's his World Cup over.

  11. Replacementpublished at 12 mins

    Wales 7-3 Australia

This is disappointing for Wales... Dan Biggar is off and Gareth Anscombe on. That's a real blow as Biggar marshals that back line expertly.

In fact he usually bosses the entire team about.

Tate McDermott showing how dangerous he can be.

A lovely little chip over the top but the bounce eludes him.

You get the feeling he will be crucial for the Wallabies tonight. If he plays well, so will they.

Oh Ben Donaldson didn't look so assured then, he drops the ball and then slips and is snagged by Jac Morgan. Australia just manage to clear up.

You see where the worries are for Wales, Samu Kerevi and Mark Nawaqanitawase.

If Angus Bell holds onto that ball Australia walk in for a try.

  15. Strong Welsh defencepublished at 9 mins

    Wales 7-3 Australia

    Stirling Mortlock

That was outstanding football from both teams, the Welsh defence on their own line pushed Australia back to the 22 metre line.

The new fly-half opens his account.
