    Ruthless by Ireland.

A soon as Billy Vunipola got put in the sin bin originally, Ireland went for the jugular and showed really good variation on the attack.

Keep your patience, keep recycling, it was all about sucking in England defenders.

James Lowe won't get a try easier than that. All of the work done inside. England punished for that yellow card already.

Could that threaten his World Cup participation?

Do we have another controversy on our hands?

Ireland take advantage of their extra man as James Lowe gets in for a try in the corner.

Good work by the home pack and a super carry by James Ryan allowed Ross Byrne time to spray the ball wide for Lowe who was able to casually stroll over the line.

Byrne misses the conversion from wide as his strike comes back off the post.

Ireland with a long spell of possession.

They are throwing the ball about quite a bit but they really aren't going very far.

  11. 'Clunky England too predictable'published at 18:40 British Summer Time 19 August 2023

    Ireland 12 -3 England

    Dylan Hartley
    Former England captain on Amazon

England are a bit too predictable in attack which is very easy to defend. When they have been to the red zone Ireland have been able to hold them out because they know what England are going to do.

Ireland's runners always have options which creates that bit of unpredictability you need to create space or break the line.

England are just looking a bit more clunky and have struggled to go up through the gears so far.

Another messy scrum - there have been a few of those - ends with a penalty to England.

    Ireland 12-3 England

Rob Herring's throw in the line-out wasn't straight and England have the put-in at the scrum, just a few metres from their line.

    Ireland 12-3 England

England now with a scrum but great work by the Ireland pack forces a penalty.

Again Ross Byrne goes to the corner so line-out incoming.

  15. Not the most auspicious re-start - Lenihanpublished at 18:36 British Summer Time 19 August 2023

    Ireland 12-3 England

    Donal Lenihan
Former Ireland lock on RTE Sport

The team that's been leading at half-time in this particular fixture has won the last 18 games between the sides, so from that point of view Ireland will be happy to see that trend continue but it hasn't been the most auspicious start to the second half.

  16. Postpublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 19 August 2023

More scrappy play by England, under pressure from Ireland, and Ross Byrne is able to kick to the corner to give Ireland a line-out.

  20. 'England lacking urgency'published at 18:28 British Summer Time 19 August 2023

    Ireland 12 - 3 England

    Simon Zebo
    Former Ireland winger on Amazon

England have had a lack of urgency at times. When it comes to Test match rugby you have to be on it. The communication and enthusiasm for a match like this has not been great - that was evident when we were watching the warm-up.

The concern is when England are being exploited defensively through the middle which is a work-rate issue.

The English box-kicking has been a bit off so they'll be looking to sort that out as well as their chase in the second-half.
