England are making it easy for the Irish back three. They have lots of time and space. Those box kicks from Youngs are not easily contestable which is giving the likes of Hansen, Lowe and Keenan the chance to attack or kick back because the England chase isn't able to get there in time.

Well-worked quick ball by Ireland gives Mack Hansen some space out wide, who makes good ground and Ireland now have a line-out in a dangerous position.

It's Ireland's turn to go early in the scrum and give England the free.

Too much urgency from both front rows so far.

Sloppy play from Ireland when in a decent position results in a knock-on.

It was initially good play by Josh van der Flier but the attack comes to nothing.

Fourth penalty conceded by England inside the opening 16 minutes.

Hooker Jamie George was down injured for a spell there but is back on his feet. Maybe one to keep an eye on.

England started this game really well but that's a hammer blow from Ireland once they got their chance.

England come right back at Ireland and Cian Prendergast puts in an excellent tackle on his first start in a green jersey, but he then failed to protect the ball in contact.

Bit of good and a bit of bad from the Connacht man.

Bundee Aki runs in the opening try of the game.

It was a lovely little break by Peter O'Mahony, after a clever pass from Josh van der Flier, and he timed his pass to Aki superbly.

Aki was never going to miss from there.

    Ross Byrne add the extras.

  13. 'England already look more confident' - Lenihanpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 19 August 2023

    Ireland 0-3 England

Already it looks a more confident start from England, I think they'll take a lot from that.

That partnership between Ben Youngs and George Ford, they've played 108 professional games together with either England or Leicester Tigers, they have incredible experience, 206 caps between them.

You can see already there is a composure there.

  20. Dylan Hartley looking for 'fluidity' from Englandpublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 19 August 2023

    Ireland v England (17.30 BST)

    Dylan Hartley
    Former England captain on Amazon

I’d look for fluidity from England. The first game in Wales was a chance for a few guys to put their hand up for selection. We’ve seen them try a few guys out in the last couple of games and some new combinations. We are now seeing familiar faces in the team sheet and a team that should be able to gel well. George Ford is on the team sheet today looking to which is a great chance for him and he will be looking to combine with Manu Tuilagi who will be opposite Bundee Aki – that is worth the price of the ticket alone.
