  4. Celtic's healthy cushionpublished at 11:32 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Rangers v Celtic (12:15)

No meeting between Rangers and Celtic could ever be described as meaningless but in the context of the race for the Premiership title then it's hardly a must-win for Brendan Rodgers' men today.

They hold a whopping 16-point advantage over their rivals in the table and that's with a game in hand. Dropping points today would not have any significant impact on their bid for the championship, with no real challengers in sight.

However, Celtic are still unbeaten in the league this season and the last place they would want to lose that record is Ibrox.

Rangers, for their part, would love nothing more than to end Celtic's unbeaten sequence. Rangers also have their own record protect today. They have not suffered defeat in any competition at Ibrox in 2016 and will be desperate not to let that home record slip away on the last day of the year.
