  1. CLOSE!published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Kilmarnock

Partick Thistle go within inches of the opening goal. Steven Lawless turns brilliantly and plays in Callum Booth who sees his shot blocked by goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald. Chris Lawless has a go on the rebound but it deflects just wide of the post.

  2. goal

GOAL Dundee 2-0 St Johnstonepublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Kostadin Gadzhalov

Saints have had the better of the possession, but it is Dundee who have the goals and Kostadin Gadzhalov fires them further ahead after Marcus Haber plays the ball into the defender's path with what can only be described as a chest volley!

  3. 'A quite incredible derby'published at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    FT: Rangers 1-2 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

That first half-hour I thought Rangers dominated most of the game, they made their chances and they got their goal.

It was a different Celtic in the second half. They came out and upped the tempo right from the kick-off.

I can't remember an Old Firm game with so many chances for both teams. It was quite incredible, it was going from end to end.

I thought Barrie McKay was different class for Rangers. He was the main guy.

Whatever Brendan Rodgers said to Celtic at half-time worked and they deserved their win.

  4. Postpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Dundee 1-0 St Johnstone

Saints continue to press for an equaliser, but Murray Davidson's powerful 22-yard drive is clutched out the air like a feather by goalkeeper Scott Bain.

  5. Renfrewshire derbypublished at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Kenny Crawford
    BBC Sport Scotland

The man to keep an eye on in this meeting of St Mirren and Morton is visiting defender Thomas O'Ware, who has racked up nine goals so far this season. Two of them have been in the two Renfrewshire derbies already played this campaign. Can he reach double figures today?

St Mirren are unchanged from the team that lost 2-1 to Dundee United.

Morton bring in goalkeeper Derek Gaston and defender Ricki Lamie, which means Andrew McNeil and Aiden Nesbitt drop to the bench.

  6. Stalemate at Firhillpublished at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Partick Thistle 0-0 Kilmarnock

Thistle started the brighter of the sides, with Kris Doolan threatening, but Kilmarnock have come into the game as the first half has worn on. The conditions, particularly the strong wind, aren't conducive to great football, but both sides trying to keep the ball on the deck as much as possible.

  7. 'Saints fighting back'published at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    Dundee 1-0 St Johnstone

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Dens Park

St Johnstone have responded well to going a goal down with Blair Alston smashing the crossbar from 25 yards out and Murray Davidson sending a diving header over the bar.

The visitors playing with a strong wind at their backs but the Dundee defence are standing firm at present.

  8. 'Celtic just too good'published at 14:32 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2016

    FT: Rangers 1-2 Celtic

    Tom English
    BBC Sport Scotland

It was an absolutely deserved win for Celtic. They had nine chances on top of the goal in the second half alone.

The greatness of this game is that, despite Celtic's overwhelming dominance in the second-half, Rangers were still there in the end. They were still threatening to land a sucker blow. They had a couple of chances to do it. They were by far and away out-played in the second half, but they were still hanging on.

It's great tribute to their character, resilience. They've come a long way since the 5-1 defeat (at Celtic Park earlier this season), but Celtic were just too good.

It was fiercely contested as always but in the end it was the champions that prevailed.

The home side were on top in the opening half-hour and Kenny Miller - who seems to save his best for derby day - struck to give Rangers the lead.

Moussa Dembele's equaliser was a bolt from the blue, a rocket of a finish that sparked a Celtic revival.

Brendan Rodgers' men were dominant after the break and Scott Sinclair turned home from close range to give Celtic a 15th consecutive victory in the Premiership.
