    O'Sullivan himself won seven consecutive frames to complete victory in the 2004 final, although he was 11-8 up when this run started.

    Time is running out for O'Sullivan if he is going to retain his world title.

    He gets unlucky in the 31st frame as, after scoring 10, he cannons into the pack of reds, but there is no shot on and has to go safe. A bit more luck for the Rocket and that could have been a frame-winning chance.

    Ronnie O'Sullivan dominated the Crucible last year as he won the tournament without losing a single session.

    He became a five-time champion, joining Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry as the only men to successfully defend a title.

    O'Sullivan went on to win the final against Barry Hawkins 18-12, a match where the highest number of century breaks (eight) was equalled.

    There have been a few final-frame thrillers between Mark Selby and Ronnie O'Sullivan over the years.

    O'Sullivan won 9-8 in the UK Championship semi-final in 2007, winning the match with a 147 in the deciding frame, Selby won the 2008 Welsh Open final 9-8 and Selby also won the 2010 Masters final 10-9.
