Philip Pick:, external I'll mostly be watching #bbcsnooker this evening.

Kieran Bestall:, external I dare say BBC2 won't be dusting off a Dads' Army episode to fill time this evening. Its going the distance this one.

Nick Comber:, external Potential 12 frames left. Something tells me I will be catching up on sleep on the way to work tomorrow.

Nick, you are not the only one. There are going to be some tired faces at BBC Towers on Tuesday morning.

    Ben Dirs
    BBC Sport at the Crucible

"There have been people calling Selby 'anti-snooker' on certain social media sites, which is to misunderstand what snooker is all about.

"There is more than one way to play the game and many would argue it's more compelling than watching an O'Sullivan procession."

  10. Welcome backpublished at 18:57 British Summer Time 5 May 2014

I have to admit, I didn't expect Mark Selby to be in the lead now. He looked finished at 8-3 behind yesterday, but there he is, out in front and closing in on the first world title of his career.

Only on four occasions has a player gone into the final session trailing and gone on to win the title.

Shaun Murphy trailed 12-11 in 2005 and won 18-16 against Matthew Stevens and Mark Williams trailed 13-11 in 2000 and won 18-16 also against Stevens.

Further back, Stephen Hendry was 14-10 behind against Jimmy White (pictured) in 1992 before winning the next eight frames.

Dennis Taylor was losing 13-11 to Steve Davis in that famous 1985 final before winning 18-17 on the final black.

"Ronnie's head is scrambled. Maybe it was the length of that frame. He took it for granted that he would pot it and it was a complete lack of concentration. It was a 100 out of 100 shot that you make every time."

    John Parrott
Former world champion on BBC TV

"The greatest player that has ever picked up a cue has missed a pink that any player down the local club would be mortified to miss.

"The fact that O'Sullivan has missed it and gone off is probably in his favour as he won't brood on it out in the arena. I have never seen him miss a shot like that.

"Ronnie should be 12-11 in front but he is not. He has to get fluent, but that's easier said than done against Mark Selby."

  17. Postpublished at 17:29 British Summer Time 5 May 2014

A dramatic end to the frame. It looks like it is in O'Sullivan's hands but he misses a simple-looking pink. The frame took 50 minutes and Selby steals it on the black.

The 23rd frame was the longest game of the match so far, lasting 50 minutes and 17 seconds. Selby has scored a total of 1,174 points and O'Sullivan has 1,279 points after 23 frames. Both players have a pot ratio success of 88%, while O'Sullivan's 75% safety success compares with 77% for Selby.

It looks like the frame will be over as Selby downs a long yellow. But all of his good work is instantly negated as he misses a long green, which was hovering over the pocket.

No action to tell you about, but some important news. This is the last frame of the session. It wasn't meant to be, but it is now. We may have 12 frames in the evening session.

The break will also be handy to give us a chance to get our sleeping bags and tents. We may be here a while.
