Former world champion Dennis Taylor, winner of the 1985 'black ball final' against Steve Davis, has briefly joined our live text team.

He says: "The fact that Mark is going for his first world title, it is remarkable that he has just won six frames in a row.

"But if it was to go down to the final frame, I would give Ronnie the edge, as he has won it so many times. It is a toss of a coin, but I still think Ronnie will win."

"But when I got into music I did not play. I've not played much but I have a passion and love for snooker.

"I got a table and have a wonderful relationship with World Snooker. This is something else. It's like Maiden playing the Albert Hall."

"Steve Peters will probably be asking Ronnie: how many mistakes have you made? And the answer will be not many. But in the last four frames he's just had no rhythm or table."

"The first frame could be so crucial. It's been all Selby since.

"We've seen Ronnie look slumped in the chair and it's important his head does not go. It is just torture as Selby is not making hundreds. Mark looks more confident this afternoon."

"I would have absolutely used a psychologist. I was lucky I had the late, great John Spencer with me. It was great to be able to have someone been there and done it. I am a believer."

"Every time Ronnie has come to the table he has had a problem or been snookered. He has not been let in this game."
