  1. Selby's statement of intentpublished at 19:20 British Summer Time 2 May 2016

Mark Selby 15-11 Ding Junhui (103-0, Selby 55 and 46)

Talk about making a statement at the start of the last session, And talk about crushing a man's spirit within minutes of the restart.

Breaks of 55 and then 46 give Selby the frame, one where Ding did not pot a ball. Selby is only three away from glory now.

OK, who thought that was frame over? I certainly did. Selby misses a red, but a very nervous twitch from Ding to leave the same red on means it should be finished soon.

Ding Junhui is getting a little sickened, he's done fantastically well, but every time he gets back into it Mark Selby finds two frames from somewhere. It's a big ask for Ding to win tonight, but when you can score like he can, he's got a chance.

Mark Selby is an animal on the table, he took that last frame by the scruff of the neck. He can grind frames out but he can also attack them. How do you approach the final session? It's like another day in the office apart from the fact it's the most important session of your career. Ding knows he's up against a rock of a player.

  12. Session over - Selby three aheadpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 2 May 2016

Mark Selby 14-11 Ding Junhui (75-11, Selby 55)

Ding's hopes do not last long after that. He sinks the cueball and then, after a bit of a delay, says enough is enough.

Selby started the day three frames ahead. He is still three frames ahead and only needs four more. How does Ding get back in this? Selby can start to dream of the trophy as he gets an hour rest before the second session starts at 19:00 BST.

Two wonderful shots back-to-back from Selby. Firstly a long red and then a thin cut into the left corner on the black. He leads 60 and, barring a miracle, and a lot of safety play, this one is done.

Obviously, Ding comes to the table, but he is facing snooker's version of climbing Mount Everest to get out of this one with a win.

Selby is closing in on 14-11. But wait. Wait. The red to the middle is slightly off target and Selby stands there looking stunned.

He has made a break of 55 so Ding will have to grind this one out, but another potential twist.

This final: Always compelling. Great drama. Hope you're enjoying it as much as we are.

Mark Selby 13-11 Ding Junhui (1-64, Ding 52)

A lot of you think Mark Selby is a lucky player. Not this time. A kick on a pink ends Selby's chances and he shows his frustration by swiping his cue around, like a crazy drunken fencer who has had one vodka too many.

Ding finishes off the frame and Selby has to forget about that one quickly.

One frame left in the session.

    Mark Selby 13-10 Ding Junhui

Back on the table. Ding Junhui makes a break of 52. And then falters. 13-11, does not look brilliant, but it is a lot better than 14-10 in a first-to-18-match so this frame is crucial.

But we're going to be a while with this one. If you need a quick loo break or snack stop, you might be in luck here. Ding hasn't done anything apart from look a bit confused at the table for the last two minutes. Oh, he also tapped his face a few times.
