    Joe Perry 7-10 Ronnie O'Sullivan

And now quotes from our champion, Ronnie O'Sullivan.

"Joe played a brilliant tournament, a really good match and he should've beaten me, I got lucky - I stole it," says O'Sullivan.

"Joe will come again and he is a tough competitor. I'm just relieved to have got over the line. The fans have been unbelievable and I really enjoyed this week."

On winning seven Masters title, O'Sullivan adds: "It is great to get some records, I still have the World Championship one to get.

"When I was younger I was just happy to win one, so to win seven, someone up there is looking after me. I just appreciate every opportunity to play in front of these fans."

Runner-up Joe Perry said: "I've proved a lot, that there is still some life left in me and it has given me the belief to go on and win a big one.

"I got Ronnie on a good day really. At 4-1 up I got a bit carried away and it was not until I was 8-4 down I thought, 'I'm going for it'.

"It's given me the taste to go for more finals, it's a great feeling to be involved and you take snooker up for nights like this.

"Fair play to Ronnie, even when he is not at his best he is still amazing."

"Where's the cue ball going", shouts John Virgo. Luckily for Perry it stays on the table.

Unluckily for Perry he then leaves a red on soon after. Now, this could be it. Current score 39-41, at the green.

Mark Lewis: I want Perry to win but I want O'Sullivan to win more! A draw?

Céin Markey: Some serious snooker being played here tonight from both sides. Great composure from Joe Perry. #Masters, external#masterclass, external

Douglas James Horne: This is so tense and nervy great comeback by Joe so far!

Still 39-36 to Perry by the way with some epic safety work going on from both players.

    Frame 17: Perry 7-9 O'Sullivan

So tense. so nerve-racking. O'Sullivan makes 36, but has to play safe so Perry has one more chance. He has to deal with this layout though. Rather him than me. Any slip-up will cost him the match. Current score 39-36.

If Joe can somehow play the superhero he could get over the line now. He needs a bit of help from Ronnie but Joe has a chance.

Joe has to keep the pressure up and make sure he doesn't miss any easy ones.
