    Frame 12: Perry 4-7 O'Sullivan

Martin Warren: 7-4 to Rocket Ronnie.. I have a feeling this Masters final will be over by 10pm with the way this is going.

A.YELLOW: I'm sure O'Sullivan will be fine, but watching him making mistakes, makes me feel uneasy.

Julian Pollard: The first session killed Joe Perry. He let Ronnie of the hook and back into the match.

    Frame 12: Perry 4-7 O'Sullivan

The chances are coming for Perry, but he is not taking advantage of them. He has 15 points to his name when he tries to pot this red...

...but undercooks it to leave himself with no shot on the black. 15-0.

    John Parrott

If Joe doesn't win the next frame I think it's curtains for him.

Ronnie's shot selection has been bang on all week. He's been waiting for his chances and he seems to be really happy to be out there competing.

    Frame 11: Perry 4-7 O'Sullivan (12-67)

You have to take the chances. And this is one that has slipped through Joe Perry's fingers. He only gets 12 points on the board and this black stays out.

He is not too impressed and is showing signs of his frustration. And this is another frame that has gone. Seven for O'Sullivan, Perry in dire, dire trouble.

    Frame 11: Perry 4-6 O'Sullivan

And that is a bad miss. O'Sullivan, looking like he has frame 11 in a tight headlock, storms through with a break of 47, and a lead of 55. But this below shot stays out.

A lot of work for Perry to do (he is 0-55 behind) in the 11th, but a chance nevertheless.

Little Frank: Absolutely remarkable that one missed red to make it 5-1 has completely derailed Perry's game.

Kirsten: Oh this is looking ominous for Joe Perry now, Ronnie is in full swing. Unplayable when he's in the mood. A genius.

    Frame 11: Perry 4-6 O'Sullivan

So this is a test for Joe Perry now. He is in the biggest match of his career and has just lost five frames in a row.

A loose safety gifts O'Sullivan a chance in the early stages of the frame, but the six-time champion only pots a red and a black before going safe. 0-8.

    Ken Doherty
1997 world champion on BBC Two

It's not been the best snooker and it's not vintage Ronnie O'Sullivan but he is buzzing around the table now and starting to play some amazing shots.

There are ominous signs for Joe Perry now. He needs to win one of the two frames before the interval.

    Frame 10: Perry 4-6 O'Sullivan

    Dennis Taylor

Ronnie is just starting to take control and Joe is starting to feel the pressure. It's a big day, his first final in a major and he was in with a great chance when he led 4-1. Joe needs to win one of the next two frames to keep himself in the match.

Vinnie Shaw: Finally, the referee berated the crowd for their constant shouting.

  12. Five in a row for Ronnie; Perry in troublepublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 10: Perry 4-6 O'Sullivan (4-124 O'Sullivan breaks of 68 and 56)

The first frame of the evening took more than half an hour, but the next is much more fluid.

In just over six minutes, O'Sullivan makes a break of 68. Perry comes to the table needing one snooker, but it is to no avail and O'Sullivan moves two clear with another decent break - this time a 56.

That is five frames in a row for him now and the foot is firmly on the accelerator pedal. Is there any way back for Perry or will O'Sullivan storm to the title from here?

    Frame 10: Perry 4-5 O'Sullivan

"You're not helping the players when you shout out," warns referee Paul Collier, to those fans in the crowd that have decided to scream 'Come on, Ronnie' every time he comes to the table.

We're into frame 10, with O'Sullivan 29-4 up, and his fans happy - even those that have just been told off.

    Frame 9: Perry 4-5 O'Sullivan

Nick Comber: Ronnie looks very, very focused. 20 years ago he didn't have the patience to win tactical frames like that.

Mark Hollingsworth: If the rest of this finals frames are going to be like that, I'm going to be exhausted at work tomorrow.

Moke: Perry has to make more of his chances when in.

    Frame 9: Perry 4-5 O'Sullivan (14-51)

This is the shot that wins O'Sullivan the frame, a very tidy red into the middle.

Remember, Perry had a 4-1 lead and had chances for a 5-1 lead. Now, he has lost four frames on the spin and trails for the first time in the final.

    Frame 9: Perry 4-4 O'Sullivan

O'Sullivan gets a chance when an attempted red to the middle pocket from Perry stays out.

He can't make too much of a dent on the scores, but gets another chance when a loose Perry safety is a bit wild.

This is the situation shortly after, in the midst of a safety battle, as we are heading for what is comfortably the longest frame of the match so far.

    Tight. Tense. Nervy.
