  1. Perry ahead, Perry's team aheadpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

By the way, things are getting worrying for Joe Perry, but he will at least be pleased, when told later, that his beloved Arsenal are winning their Premier League game.

It is 1-0 to the Gunners in their home match against Burnley after Shkodran Mustafi's header gave them the lead with about 25 minutes left.

Here is a picture from Joe Perry's Twitter account of him with Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere (who is now on loan at Bournemouth).

  2. Two on the bounce for O'Sullivanpublished at 15:31 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 7: Perry 4-3 O'Sullivan (21-61)

There was life in that frame, but no more. It is finished. Perry tries to get a red safe, but leaves it over the pocket. O'Sullivan doesn't even need to pot the red as Perry plonks his cue on to the table and walks off.

    4-3.

And here is the first of two snookers that Joe Perry needs as O'Sullivan can only watch as the cueball vanishes into the left middle pocket. There is still life in this frame.

Jill Dellow: There's a long way to go here. Joe had a late night.. Ronnie has the stamina and ability to come back under pressure and may win out.

David Barnett: I feel bad for Joe Perry, he should be 6-0 up! Interesting to see how this pans out...

This frame will take some rescuing for Joe Perry. This is what greets him when he comes to the table, trailing by 57 points in the seventh. Two snookers are needed.

But in the efforts of fairness, here is a cracking long pot from Gentleman Joe.

  8. Watch as Perry misses a simple blackpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 7: Perry 4-2 O'Sullivan

Here's one from earlier on that you may have missed. Joe Perry's attempt at a black stays out, giving hope to club players everywhere.

    Frame 7: Perry 4-2 O'Sullivan

We are still in the early stages of the seventh frame, and you haven't missed much. Both players have missed tricky pots but it has mainly been a safety battle, with O'Sullivan holding a 17-4 advantage.

  10. 'Ronnie not so vulnerable now'published at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 6: Perry 4-2 O'Sullivan

    Steve Davis

It's easy to play as the underdog but if you are about to go 5-1 up you start to think you're the favourite and that's a completely different situation. That's when the nerves can start, when you see the potential for a massive lead.

Ronnie was looking vulnerable but he's not so vulnerable now he's won that frame. It doesn't take much for the momentum to change and for one player to relax and the other to start freezing. A bit of panic can easily set in when you are sat in that chair.

  12. ‘How does this red go in’published at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 6: Perry 4-2 O'Sullivan

The last frame didn't go his way, but Joe Perry still has the best break of the match, his effort of 115 in frame five. And you can see bits of that below.

  13. 'It should have been 5-1'published at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 6: Perry 4-2 O'Sullivan

    John Parrott
1991 world champion on BBC Two

Joe Perry goes 4-1 ahead and had that red but misses and hands the chance to Ronnie.

The top players know when there's a part of a match that is so important they make sure they are all over the chance when it comes. Joe Perry should have gone 5-1 up there.

  14. 'Badly needed'published at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 6: Perry 4-2 O'Sullivan

    Dennis Taylor

Ronnie might just relax a little bit now. Joe Perry opened the door for Ronnie and it was a frame he badly needed.

  15. O'Sullivan wins frame sixpublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 6: Perry 4-2 O'Sullivan (40-67)

That could just be the springboard that O'Sullivan needed. Perry was looking on course for it being 5-1, and halfway to the magical target of 10.

Instead, O'Sullivan is back within two. Is that a turning point in the match? Perry will be desperately hoping not.

    Frame 6: Perry 4-1 O'Sullivan

Joe Perry tries to roll a red down the side pocket but it is unsuccessful. How close was it? This close. O'Sullivan comes to the table 40-25 behind.

    Frame 6: Perry 4-1 O'Sullivan

Into frame six of the final, and Joe Perry has another chance after this attempt on the black from O'Sullivan stays on the table, just about. Could this soon become 5-1?

Dave Wilkinson: Someone get Ronnie a new cushion for his chair. He's been sat in that one so much it's worn out.

Andy Foulkes: Joe running away with it.

    Frame 5: Perry 4-1 O'Sullivan

This is great stuff from Joe Perry but I'd be interested in asking what percentage of people now think Joe has a chance of winning?

I reckon it's gone up a bit from the zero percentage at the start of the match.
