  1. Perry stays in itpublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 16: Perry 7-9 O'Sullivan (106-1, Perry 53)

We continue. At times this game looked like it was heading for the record books, but each time Perry does what is needed to keep his slim hopes alive. A break of 53, after O'Sullivan misses a black.

O'Sullivan still needs one, Perry needs three.

Let's be honest, few expected this match to still be going on. But it is. And it highly enjoyable stuff.

    Frame 16: Perry 6-9 O'Sullivan

Joe Perry is certainly living dangerously. He lets Ronnie in with a loose safety, but O'Sullivan's failure on the black gives Gentleman Joe another lifeline. 31-9 at the moment. Perry needs perfection from now on. No mistakes or the trophy is O'Sullivan's.

Chris: This is a lovely session of snooker. Bit of a shame Gentleman Joe has too much to do here.

Mr W: Fair play to Perry but it's only a matter of time now till Ronnie gets his record 7th Masters title!

    Frame 16: Perry 6-9 O'Sullivan

A small, glimmer of hope for Joe Perry as Ronnie O'Sullivan's rolled red into the middle at the start of the 16th doesn't have enough pace and falls short.

Perry inches ahead and needs to make the most of this. 14-0

Ronnie potted a great pink to open the balls up. Under pressure other players would try to manoeuvre balls out but he forced the issue to make it a clear-cut chance.

    Frame 15: Perry 6-9 O'Sullivan

This seems a long time ago now. This shot would have taken Perry 5-1 up, instead he lost the frame which led to O'Sullivan winning seven in a row.

  11. O'Sullivan one away from the titlepublished at 21:18 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 15: Perry 6-9 O'Sullivan (0-130, O'Sullivan break of 112)

That may well be the moment where there is no way back for Perry. O'Sullivan, gifted an opportunity after that Perry miss, now only needs one frame for the title.

O'Sullivan wraps up frame 15 in convincing style, with a wonderful century clearance of 112 - his first century of the final, and the third overall.

The last three frames have seen breaks of 117 for Perry, 92 for Perry and 112 for O'Sullivan. Top class.

    Joe, what have you done?

O'Sullivan makes 18 and misses a red to gift Perry a chance. He instantly fails to take it with a miss on a red. You can see just how disappointed Perry is with that one. Current score 0-47.

    Frame 14: Perry 6-8 O'Sullivan

    Stephen Hendry
Six-time Masters champion on BBC Two

Joe Perry is ahead on total points scored and out of the two players is the one winning most of them in one visit. You have to take confidence from that.

Shaun: Ronnie needs to stop the comeback before it gets going.

Bryn: Joe Perry on the comeback here.

Little Frank: Perry has found some form, but you get the feeling that he still needs to get to eight before Ronnie gets to nine.

  16. 'Joe needs to play no-miss snooker'published at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 14: Perry 6-8 O'Sullivan

    John Parrott
1991 world champion on BBC Two

The interval has helped Joe change the momentum of the match. He's hitting the ball very well and his focus is there. He's got to play no-miss snooker and needs some help from his opponent.

But can he play with the same freedom when the expectation rises?

    Frame 14: Perry 6-8 O'Sullivan

    Steve Davis

Joe Perry has played well when there's not much pressure - it's easier to play from behind without expectation. I will be far more impressed if he wins the next frame.

  18. Great stuff from Perrypublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 22 January 2017

    Frame 14: Perry 6-8 O'Sullivan (92-1, Perry break of 92)

Which man will reach 10 frames? Perry was 4-1 ahead, O'Sullivan responded with seven frames in a row, but Perry has fought back by taking the last two.

He wraps up the 14th with a break of 92, only moments after a run of 117 in the previous frame.

Perry is denied back-to-back centuries as he misses the last red on the table with a rest. Nevertheless, still, 30 minutes ago he looked finished, but he is still fighting hard.

Do not go anywhere. You may well be witnessing a classic.
