Frame 14: O'Sullivan 8-5 Wilson
Just the 28 break for Kyren Wilson though. Will that be an opportunity missed.
Possibly not. Ronnie gifts him a routine opener to the top right corner.
Frame 14: O'Sullivan 8-5 Wilson
Stephen Hendry
Seven-time world champion on BBC Two
This is the worst I have ever seen Ronnie O'Sullivan play in a world championship final by a long way.
It is not beyond the realms of possibilities that Kyren could get out of this session 9-8 in front.
Frame 14: O'Sullivan 8-5 Wilson
Kyren Wilson springs out of his seat as Ronnie O'Sullivan gets a safety all wrong.
He's in the balls. And has won the last three frames.

Ken Doherty
1997 world champion on BBC Two
The shoe is on the other foot now and Ronnie is missing a lot more balls than he was earlier.

Donna: Ronnie's losing concentration & patience ....Kyren needs to feed off this.
Adam Gould: Ronnie looks rattled tonight, opening the door for the star from Kettering to get back into the game, 'come on Kyren'.
Frame 13: O'Sullivan 8-5 Wilson
Much more fluency about Kyren Wilson now plus he's getting the odd bit of good fortune that was missing earlier.
After Ronnie gets up to 24, Wilson knocks in a superb long red and then snookers his opponent while missing the pink.
The puts Ronnie in the snookers required category and Wilson wraps up the frame on the colours.
Frame 13: O'Sullivan 8-4 Wilson
Sweet shot from Ronnie O'Sullivan who dispatches a long red. He'll have to go some to win from here though.

John Parrott
1991 world champion on BBC Two
He will be disappointed not to win the frame at that visit.
Frame 13: O'Sullivan 8-4 Wilson
Kyren Wilson has had the rub of the green here unintentionally potting a long red from a safety.
And it looks as though he has a tad more confidence and has modified his gameplan.
After refusing a tricky colour he gets back in and has worked himself into a good chance to pull another frame back.
He's 57-0 ahead and on a break of 40. A long red goes awry but he's played it in a way to leave the white up at the baulk end.
Frame 13: O'Sullivan 8-4 Wilson
What a statistic this is...

The players are back and we're under way again.
Kyren Wilson is looking at the sort of long red that was missing right by an inch or two this morning. But that's a stunning shot, he rocketed that in.
He can't keep his break going though missing a difficult blue. Still no harm done.

Dominic Brown: If John Virgo on zoom doesn't make you tear up I don't know what will.
Mark Flatley: Where’s the cueball going?
Oh hello. Look who we have here.
This fella has been a big miss on the comms at this year's tournament.
Wonderful sketch that one Wayne.

Wayne Denniston: Ronnie's persistence in that last frame reminded me of the black knight's from Monty Python's Holy Grail - defiance in obvious defeat.
Ryan Glendenning: The game is not over yet. 8-4 at mid session interval. Wilson is on the climb, this is still anybody's game all to play for.
Frame 13: O'Sullivan 8-4 Wilson
Looks like Neil Robertson has got his own theory on the table...

That was a weird ending. You thought he could have gone off earlier for the mid-session interval earlier and got some practice on the actual practice table instead.
The table doesn't seem to be playing well. It seems heavy.

Jonny: I’m in disbelief Ronnie carried on playing.
Snap Jonny.
Frame 12: O’Sullivan 8-4 Wilson
Utterly bizarre Ronnie O'Sullivan fouls a couple more times but opts to play on before clearing the balls even though he could have only finished 19 points behind.
Kyren Wilson has reduced the gap as we head into the mid-session interval.
