We will back to bring you the best of the action along with BBC Radio 5 live commentary.

For now though we are gone.

I'll leave you with the news that Ana Ivanovic is set far for the third round, leading Elina Svitolina 7-5 4-1.

    Adieu.

Tomorrow's order of play has landed hot off the presses.

The headlines are that Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova are second and third on Philippe Chatrier. They are playing Dmitry Tursunov and Paula Ormaechea respectively.

But perhaps Court Suzanne Lenglen is the place to be. Novak Djokovic's meeting with Marin Cilic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's match against Jerzy Janowicz are sandwiched between two competitive-looking women's matches.

No Brits in action, but plenty there for you to get your teeth into...

Andy Murray, speaking about his straight-sets victory over Marinko Matosevic: "There were a couple games right at the beginning of the sets where I had opportunities to break. In one very long deuce game, the one where I had 0-40, it took me six or seven break points to get it.

"But I was just trying to make sure that my intensity was there every moment, especially at the beginning of the sets. I managed to get ahead early in all of them, and that helped.

"I returned very well in the second serve. I attacked it very well. My timing was there on both sides, forehand and backhand side on that shot.

"That was for me was the best part of my game today."

Heather Watson actually hit more winners than Simona Halep over the course of the match - 22 to 19.

If she can just beef up her serve, it would make a big difference to her game.

Halep, an inch shorter, hit her first serve harder and won 75% of points behind it, compared to Watson's 49%.

"Simona was very happy to finish things off because it was beginning to get closer and tighter. Heather can be pleased with her performance and can look back at the video of this match and see what she did well and what she can improve on. If Heather had managed to get that second set to 5-5 and took it to a third set, who knows? Now Heather needs to work on the number of unforced errors she concedes. Then she can move to the next level."

  6. Halep into the third roundpublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 29 May 2014

Break point at 30-40 and a genuine chance for Heather Watson to put the skids under Simona Halep. But the Briton's forehand has looked the flakier wing on return and Halep has sniffed out the weakness. Into the net goes the return.

But Watson is not done yet.

After clawing back a match point, she has a break point of her own. It is not to be though. A jerky stroke plants the ball between the tramlines and Halep makes her pay, whipping away a backhand down the line.

As the final shot of the match skids past her for a clean winner, Watson dashes her racquet to the floor. She has put in a decent showing though and is not as far from Halep as the scoreline suggests.

Heather Watson is not letting Simona Halep off without seeing if she has any final game jitters hiding in the top six inches. The Briton dusts off a solid service hold. Over to you Simona.

Simona Halep races through a service game, finishing with a whopper of a forehand that leaves Watson rooted to the red clay. Watson serves to stay in it next.

Clever from Heather Watson as she shrouds a backhand drop-shot behind a great big backswing at break point down. Halep falls for it and cannot make up the ground as she hurtles into the net.

Watson needs another remarkable shot - this time a second-serve ace - to see off another break point from deuce and she finally gets the game she deserve as she eventually floors Halep with slugging forehands.

"Having a good coach was very important for me. It's tough to be out there week to week - travelling, training and competing - and it's good to have somebody to scout your opponent and to notice any little technical flaws in your own game."

Andy Murray has been quizzed about his next coach once again, with Amelie Mauresmo the latest in a long line of names to be suggested. So has anyone guessed the right name so far? "Not that I'm aware of, no," says the Wimbledon champion.

Simona Halep may be small of frame, but she make use of every bit of it. A huge take-back pulls the racquet head back way behind her before her unfurls it with a terrific pace. It's a technique that puts great pace on her forehand and Heather Watson is fighting to get back in the rallies as soon as Halep hits the shot. The Romanian is just two service holds away.

Heather Watson will chase until the final ball though. She keeps herself alive in the contest with another gritty hold. Her serve is looking a little more solid than it was in the first set.

This match would not look out of place in the last 16 or the quarter-finals. Really high quality stuff and it is Simona Halep who brings slightly more, stroking away a final forehand past her wrong-footed opponent.

"If I had to pick a winner of the women's tournament I'd have to go for Maria Sharapova. She has both the form and the pedigree."

Simona Halep is not going to be derailed like that though. She is a grinder, a grafter, a greedy gobbler of points and she moves Heather Watson around the court with cunning and craft to take back the break.

    Now can she hold it?

There are predictions on the BBC tennis desk that this one might be done not long after 18:00 BST.

Not if Heather Watson has something to say about it. She wrestles Simona Halep's serve from her, trusting her arm as she swings out to break.

  19. Halep breakspublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 29 May 2014

Simona Halep's forehand is fizzing with power, making Heather Watson seem like she has acres of clay to cover. The Romanian clubs her way to 30-40 as another pings past Watson, who is little more than a spectator. Watson shows she can mix it though, smacking her own winner to salvage the break point.

There was a fist clench and a snarl to send it on its way as well. Perhaps Watson's blood is up a little too much though. She pumps long as she attempts to up the pace and is bullied out of the break point that follows.

  20. Scores updatepublished at 17:31 British Summer Time 29 May 2014
