  1. Kohlschreiber breakspublished at 19:59 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Andy Murray's serve isn't the shot to let him down at 30-30. It is good and deep. But he doesn't capitalise with groundstrokes of similar quality.

Philipp Kohlschreiber snaps up the invite after one short ball too many, cracking away an off forehand winner that gives Murray no chance.

Break point. Again Murray lands his serve, but again his touch deserts him mid-rally. A clumsy drop-shot is easily reached by Kohlschreiber who shows how it is done with a dainty little dab.

  2. Murray breakspublished at 19:54 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Philipp Kohlscreiber's turn to go a little wonky off the tee. A double fault gives Andy Murray a look at 30-40 and a break point. First serve into the net, the second slapped away disdainfully for a clean winner for the Scot.

We have been here before though haven't we? It's hard to believe when you have been hurt so many times before. As they say in American teen dramas.

  3. Postpublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Andy Murray gave himself a verbal slap around the chops during the changeover. Maybe it has done the trick. He makes a solid start to the decider, holding for the loss of a point.

  4. Kohlschreiber wins fourth setpublished at 19:48 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Settle in. We are into a decider. As Andy Murray's game comes apart at the seams, Philipp Kohlschreiber's snaps into gear. A hold to love and suddenly it is the German, who spent much of the fourth set looking down and out, with the momentum.

    BBC Radio 5 live

British tennis player Dom Inglot: "I feel like Andy Murray has put this on himself. Philipp Kohlschreiber has won some of these points for free and someone like Andy should not be letting that happen.

"The worse thing is Andy knows he is gifting him these points and it is sitting in his mind and sowing seeds of doubt."

  6. Kohlschreiber breakspublished at 19:45 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Andy Murray looks like he is sailing at 30-0, but he gives Philipp Kohlschreiber breathing space and that is all the German needs. With nothing to lose he chucks everything behind his groundstrokes clambering back from six feet deep to 30-40 and break point.

A long rally follows and again it is Kohlschreiber who is the braver. Itching to get forward and flirting with the lines more outrageously. Murray succumbs with a backhand well wide and the set is on Kohlschreiber's racquet.

  7. Postpublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Philipp Kohlschreiber looks to have parity sewn up at 40-15 to the good, but he plays it a little risky on the next two points and gets burned on each. Deuce.

Murray tickles over a drop-shot and the German's reply fails to clear the tape. Break point. Is this the moment for Murray to apply the killer touch? It probably is, but Kohlschreiber is dodging his fate stubbornly.

He is survives through and Murray's serve will have to be sturdier than it was on its last outing...

"It's a hard set to fathom this set. You don't get the feeling Andy Murray will lose it but he is putting himself into a dangerous position."

  9. Kohlschreiber breakspublished at 19:35 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Andy Murray's serve goes missing just when its owner could have done with it. A powerpuff second serve down the middle is meat and drink for Philip Kohlschreiber at 30-30. A rifled forehand return gives him break point and Murray misses with his first attempt to tee off.

His second serve out wide is in, but only gets the rally started rather than giving him an advantage in it. Murray strays long and we are back on serve.

    BBC Radio 5 live

British tennis player Dom Inglot on BBC Radio 5 live: "Andy Murray needs to concentrate on his first serve and take the match a shot at a time.

"What you don't want is players thinking 'I will have a chance against Murray if I hang in there'. You don't get that with Nadal."

  11. Murray breakspublished at 19:30 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Philipp Kohlschreiber is wobbling under an Andy Murray barrage, scraping through two break points just about intact, before he is strafed by a bullet of return to set up a third.

This time there is no wiggling off the hook. He is hung out to dry as Murray stretches him out of shape. He has clawed his way back into this set once before. Has Murray finally cut him loose now?

  12. Kohlschreiber breakspublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Double-fault and a growl of disgust from Andy Murray. 0-30. You can understand his sentiment. This is a chance for Philipp Kohlschreiber.

Murray nips back a point with a drop-shot that gives the German a diagonal to run and not enough time to do it.

Murray long on the next though and Kohlschreiber has two break points to play with at 15-40. Taken! A mid-court bounce invitingly high on the Kohlschreiber forehand is swept away for a clean winner.

    This ain't done.

Philipp Kohlschreiber gets within sight of dry land at 40-15, but the Andy Murray backhand has been a bludgeon all afternoon. He sends another one skipping away for winner from the centre of the sweet-spot to give the German something to chew on.

Duly digested. Kohlschreiber holds to stay within striking distance.

A quicksmart hold of serve. And three of the six games required are chalked off for Murray.

  16. Murray breakspublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Andy Murray looks like he would stand at the net off Philipp Kohlschreiber's second serve if he could. A majestic backhand brings him to 30-30, before he clambers into the German's second go off the service oche to give him a break point.

Converted. After a slow start there is fourth-round light at the end of the tunnel for Murray.

A backhand volley on a cute angle puts the cap on Andy Murray's opening service game fo the fourth.

  19. Murray breaks to win third setpublished at 19:05 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

Andy Murray is accelerating towards the finish line. Chomping at the bit to get after the Kohlschreiber serve, he steps in to set up 15-40 with a crackerjack of a return.

Kohlschreiber has come off the boil a bit but he lands a brave drop-shot to get back to deuce. He saves a third set point, but there is no escape as Murray forces a fourth and works him over from the back of the court, drawing the error that seals the set.

  20. Nadal injurypublished at 19:00 British Summer Time 31 May 2014

    Russell Fuller
BBC tennis correspondent on BBC Radio 5 live

Concerning news from Rafael Nadal. He achieved a fairly straightforward win against Leonardo Mayer when his serving speed was a little slower than normal.

He was asked about that in the news conference after his win and said: "Yes, I felt a little bit my back so that's why I slowed down my service a little bit.

"I had the problem in Australia. It's real but during my career I have had a few problems."
