So Andy Murray has been given the opportunity to play on Philippe Chatrier for the first time in the tournament when he takes on Frenchman Gael Monfils in the quarter-finals tomorrow.

The pair were junior rivals and played each other several times before turning pro. Since then, they've played five times, with Murray edging the head-to-head 3-2. However, their last meeting came back in 2010.

Another Raonic errors brings up two match points but he only needs the first as the Canadian goes wide again. A confident and efficient victory for the number two seed.

On we go on Philippe Chatrier as Raonic holds serve to love to reduce the deficit to just one game. Can Djokovic serve it out at the second time of asking?

A great exchange begins with a Djokovic drop shot that Raonic scrambles back. The Serb then volleys it back cross-court and though the Canadian gets to it, Djokovic pings up a delicate lob that Raonic tries and fails to chase down. That's 30-30. Raonic wins the next with an ace and then latches on to a disappointing drop shot to make Djokovic to serve for the match.

"What began as a measured, clinical effort from Djokovic has become a real masterclass in the latter stages. He's been dominating the Raonic serve in this set and clipping the lines with his groundstrokes, leaving the Canadian looking a bit flat-footed. There was a brief threat of rain just now but it looks like it won't arrive in time for Raonic."

It's another love service game for Djokovic with Raonic left to serve to stay in the match.

A stroke of magic from Djokovic, crafting a beautiful drop shot from the back of the court, following it up with a cross-court backhand and then responding to a drop volley with a lovely topspin forehand cross-court that draws gasps from the crowd. Two break points. The first goes wanting but the second is all his as Raonic's backhand lets him down. Djokovic breaks again. Raonic is really up against it now.

Djokovic, who has hit 29 winners to Raonic's 41, looks to be cruising at 30-0, but the Canadian hauls him back to 30-30 with two forehand winners.

Djokovic responds, following up a mishit with a well-executed backhand down the line for a winner for game point. He can't convert, though, and we're at deuce. The Serb digs in and rattles off the next two points to consolidate the break.

Djokovic brings up three break points with a venomous backhand that Raonic can only watch rattle past. Credit to Raonic, though. The Canadian rattles off four straight points to bring up game point but then his forehand lets him down and we're back to deuce.

Raonic puts a forehand smash away to bring up another game point but back comes Djokovic, wrapping his racquet around a forehand for a winner. Deuce. This time, Raonic can't respond and makes two forehand errors to hand Djokovic the break.

BBC tennis correspondent on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

"Anyone for a rally? Serve dominating on Chatrier right now and Djokovic proving just a little bit too good for Raonic when the chips are down. He produced a perfectly weighted backhand return to Raonic's feet to break in the final game of the first set and then played the sharper tiebreak to move two sets to the good."
