"Did you notice how quickly Goffin was moving to the net in that last game? That's something I don't think players practise enough. That's where Goffin will become a better player. If he gets his confidence and his ranking back, that's how he will do it. The way Kei Nishikori uses his speed - Goffin's got to do that."
Victoria Azarenka claws her way back from the brink in the second set against Mirjana Lucic-Baroni, breaking as the Croatian served to take it to a third. Azarenka keeps the tables turning as she holds for a 6-3 6-5 lead.
A break in the next game would buy her a pass into the second round.
James Ward is being outgunned over on court three, down 6-2 6-2 4-1 to Mikhail Youzhny.
Goffin having to work for everything on his own serve, but that's better at 30-30 - slamming serve out wide to wriggle off the hook. Shaq's off - he's seen enough, time for a picnic on Henman Hill. Bad news for cows and fatted calves in the SW19 region.

1996 Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 live
"It has been a very good performance from Andy. The first set was a gift from Goffin. You thought maybe Goffin could find his was back into the match in the second set but Andy never let him get his foot in the door. You try to take away every hope the opponent can have. Andy will now be looking for an early break to eliminate any chance of his opponent playing his way back into the match."
Very little Goffin can do here - his best return on Murray's serve in the entire contest has been to get to 30-30, and even that is now feeling like a brief aberration. Mauresmo, while not as stony-faced as Ivan Lendl in the same seat a year ago, is in no danger of getting over-excited by this routine progression.
Some wannabes make the transition to has-beens without any of the glory that is supposed to sandwich the two.
Bernard Tomic might be in danger of that.
The 21-year-old is 86th in the world, but defending a shedload of ranking points after making the fourth round here last year.
He has just walked out onto court eight to take on Evgeny Donskoy.
Ooh-la - an unfortunate line judge bends to avoid a swerving Goffin serve and gets low too slow - a bruise on the back to show off to his pals on the morrow. Murray forces the error from Goffin with harsh, flat groundstrokes, and he'll have a break point in the opening game of this third set. Two solid serves snuff out of the sparks - one reply into the net from Murray, the other long - and a failed challenge on a ball that bites at least half the baseline sees the chance slip away.
Now then, Victoria Azarenka is in a spot of bother in the second set against Mirjana Lucic-Baroni.
The eighth seed is a break down at 5-3. Balls on her racquet at the moment, but at worst her opponent will have a chance to serve out and set up a decider.
Wimbledon's new stricter rules on the dress code seem to be having an effect by the way. "Predominantly white" doesn't cut it any more and both Azarenka and Lucic-Baroni are in their best, brightest whites, even down to the headbands and strapping.
Goffin can't stand up for falling down - another slip as he comes to the net, another as he tries to arrest his initial slip. Murray with three points for a two-set lead - no dramas, ace down the middle, the easiest of peas.

"A lot of this is in Goffin's head and he's facing a better player. If he gets a look at Murray's second serve, he's got to make something happen.
"The thing I tell kids at my tennis academy is: Make sure you don't beat yourself. I think the pain for Goffin is from the score. He could use a little sympathy right now."
James Ward is looking like he will have the next couple of weeks clear to watch a bit of the World Cup.
The Londoner has been bounced for a second set and trails Mikhail Youzhny 6-2 6-2 on court three.
Murray long off his backhand after a good deep serve from Goffin. The Belgian then mangles an attempted slam-dunk overhead. It'll take more than that to impress Shaq, a man whose many life credits include a brief cameo in Scary Movie IV.
Goffin on the slide again, his right foot going from underneath him and he dives across at reach Murray's forehand cross-court. Lots of oohing and argghs as he stands up with all the physical grace of George Groves after he wore the Hammer of Froch the other weekend.

"Victoria Azarenka has been very good on the break points in her opening set against Mirjana Lucic-Baroni. She hasn't been in the best shape physically and hasn't been able to practise as she would like to because of the injury she has had but Lucic didn't make her play enough."
Victoria Azarenka is sporting the Argentina flag on her right thumbnail by the way - in homage to her favourite footballer Lionel Messi.
Number 11 seed Ana Ivanovic,, external who faces Francesca Schiavone in the first round tomorrow: "Starting my 2014 Wimbledon with blood test! Can't wait for my first match."
Selfie with a difference, that, Ana.
Victoria Azarenka is being matched through the second-set stretch by Mirjana Lucic-Baroni. The Belarussian eighth seed leads 6-3 3-3.
Tomas Berdych is turning around his first-round match against Victor Hanescu out on court two.
After being hustled out of the first, the Czech has taken the next two sets for a 6-7 (5-7) 6-1 6-4 1-0 lead.
The first set has headed south for Britain's Dan Cox, 6-2 0-1 down to Jeremy Chardy on Court 18.
Murray frames a forehand into the second row - chance for a crowd-pleasing catch for someone, but there's a horrible mix-up between one over-eager gentleman and the woman in the row behind, and the opportunity is grassed. Solid overhead from Goffin after Murray is forced on the defensive; just the one break in it.
A party-pooping cloud drifts across the sun as Murray canters through another service game. Shaquille, who looks to be rather enjoying his first experience of Centre, claps politely. A few miles away, windows shatter.
