Roger Federer may not get to tread the Centre Court boards again in a final and he is not going to leave anything in the tank.

He swats away a winner off return as he gets a clear read on the Djokovic serve for 30-15. He gamely presses the net on the final point, but can't keep the lid of his volley, the ball floating out.

Djokovic's wheels are wobbling badly. Errors pock-marking his game and Roger Federer suddenly has 0-40 and three break points. A second-serve ace wipes off the first. Another service winner zaps the second.

But the third is the charm. Federer and Djokovic trading stinging groundstrokes and it is the Serb who puts a little too much muscle behind one.
