    Peter Fleming
Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC TV

"Djokovic has been given a new pair of shoes - let's see if that makes a difference because his footwork at times hasn't been the most sure."

  2. Djokovic breakspublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Djokovic, the 2011 champion, is close to throwing his toys. Slip-sliding in the dirt, he throws his arms in the air and shakes his head in the direction of his box. Cilic saves one break point with an ace but smashes wide on a second. Djokovic has the advantage in the fourth, but he's angrier than a swarm of hornets.

  3. Wawrinka breakspublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Roger, can we rely on you? On sunny Centre, in front of plenty of green plastic seats that were previously occupied by fans of Andy Murray, the seven-time champion confirms that nothing is sacred any more. A backhand down the line from Wawrinka, a forehand long from Federer and the fifth seed is a break up. Can we just calm down please?

"The King is dead, the Pretender might be too. The revolutionary spirit that infused Grigor Dimitrov on Centre has seeped across to Marin Cilic on Court One. The Croat bellows with delight as his bullocking serve delivers the third-set tie-break. Goran is up on his feet and Wimbledon might have another top seed to lob on the pile in the next hour or so."

  5. Postpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

    Peter Fleming
Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC TV

"They were staring eyeball to eyeball in that 12th game of the set but Cilic blinked first when he was serving for the set.

"But Cilic showed us a lot in the tie-break and he did ever so well to regain his composure and was the dominant player in the tie-break."

  6. GAME AND THIRD SETpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

At this rate, we're going to have to put new batteries in the Shock Siren. Cilic earns three set points with a forehand down the line, with Djokovic surrendering on the stretch. The world number two, the number one seed, is a set away from going out.

  7. Murray out of Wimbledonpublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Dale:, external Inspired performance by Dimitrov. Bad day at the office for Murray, who looked flat and lethargic throughout.

Maddal:, external Felt like Murray lost that rather than Dimitrov winning it, he didn't have to do much. Way too many unforced errors from Andy

Matthew Vernon:, external After that post-match interview, Dimitrov's one of my new favourites. Top man, classy professional, nice what he said about Andy.

  8. Postpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

    Peter Fleming
Seven-time Grand Slam doubles champion on BBC TV

"At some point you know a great champion like Djokovic will realise he is frustrated at errors but maybe it is time to realise that it is the frustration causing the errors so just settle down and get back to basics."

  9. TIE-BREAKpublished at 15:58 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

What have they put in the orange squash at SW19 in the past 24 hours. First Nadal, then Murray, now Djokovic? For half an hour against Marin Cilic, the world number two had his dressing gown on. Now, it's one set all and Cilic has a mini-break in the third-set tie-break. Surely not again?

  10. Postpublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

These Swiss sluggers would have watched on with interest as Rafael Nadal was dumped out yesterday. It was the King of Spain that blocked their path to the final. As it is, the winner of this match will play either Milos Raonic or Nadal's vanquisher Nick Kyrgios in the final. Wawrinka opens with a hold.

  11. Get involvedpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Helles Mammut:, external If it's not your day you battle through it - you don't throw the match away like Murray did. With his win last year the fire is gone.

Darren Mair:, external A very timid and lifeless defence of his crown first test and he gets blown away. Would he have wilted like that under Lendl?

Dario Eaton:, external Could this be the rise of the new generations with both Nadal & Murray losing to Kyrgios & Dimitrov respectively.

Timothy Walton: , externalYes it's a shame about Murray but a potential Dimitrov-Djokovic semi final is a wonderful prospect!

  12. Postpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

As someone, Queen I think, sang, the show must go on. If you can take any more, we have a humdinger for you. Roger Federer taking on Stan Wawrinka in a battle for Swiss supremacy. Stephan Shemilt here in the chair to talk you through it. Stan to serve.

  13. Murray out of Wimbledonpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

Andrew Neill:, external Andy seems to have a separate coach for every part of his training. Hire Sampras for his serve. Whatever the cost it must be done.

Jack Grummitt:, external If I were you Andy, I'd put your quibbles aside, free up your diary and plead with Mr. Lendl to return as your coach.

Paul Porter:, external Andy Murray it looked like you had lost from the moment you walked out onto centre court. #hopeyougetyourbeliefback!

  14. Murray out of Wimbledonpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

    Jimmy Connors
Two-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

"Dimitrov is in a semi-final and he will say why can't he beat Federer or Djokovic and win the title. He played spectacular tennis today. It won't get easier so he has to lift his level again. I don't think he is just satisfied with being in the semi-final."

Andy Murray speaking on BBC One: "I'm very disappointed with the way I started. I felt that gave him confidence at the beginning. It's a lot easier to settle down when you're two sets up. It wasn't a great day.

"I felt fine in the warm-up but got off to a bad start, that was the disappointing part. It wasn't good enough. There is time to come back, but I didn't take my opportunity in the second set.

"He played a very solid match, making few mistakes and a lot of returns. All the percentages were in his favour. I just wish I'd made it tougher for him"

  16. Murray out of Wimbledonpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

    Andrew Castle
Former British number one on BBC TV

"The vibe Grigor has been giving out is one of a champion. Why Andy was flat? I don't know. Some days are just flat and it just happens that way and if you play a player in this sort of form you end up disappointing yourself and the crowd.

"Grigor is full of belief now. He has won a lot of matches now. We are seeing the crystalisation of a talent."

  17. Postpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

    Martina Navratilova
Nine-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

Martina Navratilova:, external Wow- what an amazing match Dimitrov played today, outstanding.

  18. Murray out of Wimbledonpublished at 15:42 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

    Andrew Castle
Former British number one on BBC TV

"Gone are the days when you could ease your way in to a match. The tactics that Dimitrov used were spot-on so credit to him and his coach Roger Rasheed."

"There is a whole load of weight on you and I thought Andy did really well in the opening games, he was hitting the ball really well.

"When I was here as defending champion I just felt so much pressure and I felt like a huge disappointment to me and everyone else, I was just glad to get that year out of the way. As it was for me I got injured and I ever had the chance again. Andy did try today but it just didn't work for him."

  20. Murray out of Wimbledonpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 2 July 2014

    John Lloyd
Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 live

"Andy Murray was poor, his body language was poor and he gave up this game too easy. For a player of his standard, who has won two Grand Slams, I am very, very surprised by the way he has gone out."
