  4. 'Andy, you should be in bed'published at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2016

"Louis, all my success is down to you," says an emotional Jamie Murray, getting tearful, of his doubles coach Louis Cayer. "Andy, you should be in bed, but we'll be in bed to support you tomorrow. My wife is at home working hard to pay the bills while I can travel the world playing sport. She's my rock."

A late arrival in the British player box at 1.10am - Andy Murray, wreathed in smiles. He gets too nervous to watch his brother play a whole match, so has waited to join the celebrations.

  6. 'Time to retire?'published at 14:08 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2016

"You dream about this moment since you start playing tennis," says Bruno Soares, who is the first Brazilian player - man or woman - to win a title at the Australian Open. "To my partner, it's only been one month but I think we can retire now, no?"

  7. 'I see the smiles of British tennis'published at 14:06 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2016

"It's a great crowd to play in front of - even though you were against us," says Daniel Nestor, jokingly. It is 1am in Melbourne, the crowd probably just want to get home. "They just came up in the end on the better side, so well done guys," adds Radek Stepanek. "And I see the smiles of British tennis there, we'll see how it goes tomorrow."

  8. Murray makes historypublished at 14:01 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2016

Jamie Murray is the first Briton to win the men's doubles title at the Australian Open since Fred Perry and Pat Hughes in 1934. The Murray family continue to scrub Perry's name from the record books - although I have a feeling Fred would have said "not before time".

Missing a championship point on serve could have been a killer blow, but Soares does his best to grab the momentum back as he hauls the pair to 0-30 after Nestor leaves one that drops in. Murray nets a return but then steals one at the net and it's 15-40, two break-back points...

Stepanek slams away the first, but Nestor goes long off a good Soares return and now the Brazilian can win it on serve!

It's a nervy start - Nestor smashes the first point away, Murray double faults, 0-30...

Soares helps out with a good volley, 15-30. A long rally follows, lobs traded, Murray goes long, 15-40. Two break-back points....

Stepanek hits Nestor between the shoulder blades with his return, bit odd, but one saved. Nestor hammers a return long, deuce...

Edgy stuff, Murray steers a superb lob volley and it does the job. Championship point....

A net cord denies Murray an ace, Nestor then makes a great return into the tram lines.

Nestor then makes a volley winner and it's break point number three...

    Murray volleys wide!

"If they come through this, I'm sure Jamie Murray will say he learnt from those Davis Cup matches last year.

"It's going to be Jamie's job to close, so we'll get see how much experience he has gained."

An easy hold for Stepanek, Nestor helping out with a couple of volleys, and Murray must serve out if he is to claim his first men's doubles title.

Murray takes complete control, two brilliant returns and some net domination helping earn a break point that could all but clinch it..... but Soares misses the return.

Nestor doubles faults! Break point number two... Murray sneaks across and smacks a volley, but Nestor somehow angles it back for a winner. A stunning effort that could turn things their way.
