    Djokovic 3-6 6-1 1-1 *Murray

It feels like Andy Murray is Kanut like, trying to hold back a tide of brilliance from the other end of net.

Novak Djokovic runs down a drop-shot and the Scot can only watch as his opponent makes it with time to spare, lacing a top-spinning winner across court.

15-40 and two massive break points.

"The Djokovic forehand is a lot hotter now than it was in the first set, when it was distinctly tepid. Murray has spent almost five hours longer than him on court in this French Open and that could be a factor if this match goes the distance."

Novak Djokovic nurses his serve through. Andy Murray had a chance on the final point after reading Djokovic's intentions with a forehand from midcourt, but could only pat it back within the Serb's hitting zone.

    *Djokovic 3-6 6-1 0-1 Murray

Andy Murray is knocking on the door.

He hammers away a forehand from midcourt and then moon-balls in defence, luring Novak Djokovic into the net off the overhead for 30-30.

Novak Djokovic has not kept up the - admittedly stratospheric - standard of the second set.

    Deuce.

Ian Blick: Murray has fallen apart! Djokovic has wrestled control of the match from him! Hope this isn't a capitulation.

Dennis Ethan: Djokovic leads Murray H2H 10-1 when they have shared the first two sets in the past. C'mon Nole!

    Right, a three-set match?

Don't mind if we do. The last one of those that Murray played against Djokovic was just a few weeks ago, on clay and a 6-3 6-3 win.

I would be very surprised if this match is going to slip down as easily for the Scot as that Italian Open success.

Murray is having to work for every point. He pumps a fist and yelps a 'C'mon' after going toe-to-toe with Djokovic and winning to bring up 40-30.

A big serve gets him up and on the board first in the third set.

"Djokovic is unstoppable when he's like this. He takes you from one side to the other to the other. It's almost exhibition stuff."

    Djokovic 3-6 6-1 *Murray

It is Andy Murray who now needs to hit the reboot button and start this match again.

Novak Djokovic lorded it over that second set and he crowns it by zipping over a cross- court winner for 40-15 and then looping in a deceptive second serve that Murray can only fend into the net on its final point.

"It's unbelievable how quickly this has turned around. From barely hanging on in this first game of this second, Djokovic has played some fantastic tennis, and Murray has just lost concentration."

Novak Djokovic slots a backhand down the line and into open court to take a stranglehold on the second set.

He serves to take us to one set-all next.

    Djokovic 3-6 4-1 *Murray

Novak Djokovic hits a backhand with a little hurry-up, Andy Murray dumps into the net and then the Serb tickles a lovely drop-shot reply across court for 15-40.

Two points for a double break in the second set.

Leonardo DiCaprio is in the house, sporting the standard issue celebrity disguise of sunnies and anonymous headwear by the way.

Alex Johnson: Murray was playing superbly, now he's making mistakes all over the shop. He's awful right now, what's happened?

Fissuh Hailu: Andy's mental strength is fading when Novak's revives. This has always been the case with these two. Come on Andy!

    Any doubts or wobbles?

If there are, Novak Djokovic's poker face is pretty good.

The Serb races to 40-0 in a twinkle and seals the deal with a drop-volley that he caresses off the strings and out of the Scot's reach.

Andy Murray is reunited with his lost serve amid much rejoicing in the Briton's camp.

Two tee-offs bristling with intent see of the danger for good in this service game.

Does that tweak up the pressure a notch on Novak Djokovic - just one break up in this second set?

A more assertive Andy Murray defends the first of two break points and there is some terrific chasing to the far corners to save the second.

Still not out of the woods yet though.

Novak Djokovic has found his groove. And the needle is skipping for Andy Murray.

The Serb cranks up the pressure, the Briton frames a forehand long and it is 15-40 and two break points Djokovic.

Now, this was not in the first-set script. Novak Djokovic backs up his break of serve with a hold of his own.

Out of nowhere, he is half way to the second set and scoreboard parity

And the Serb is staring to find some angles that simply were not on his protractor earlier in the match.

David Meacock: Given his history it seems odd referring to Murray as 'mentally tough' - this 2nd set will test him as Novak strikes back.

Paul Staveley: Horrendous time for a double fault - would have been a big hold too. Djokovic will smell blood here.
