    Nishikori 6-4 6-3 0-1 Groth

The scoreboard looks good enough for Kei Nishikori, largely outclassing his giant opponent Sam Groth, who has had seven break points opportunities but only taken one.

But, as I speak, Nishikori is out flat on his back and this is an official injury time out. Twelve months ago he had to withdraw through injury, it's been very much a theme of the talented Japanese player's career.

Ukrainian Svitolina, seeded 17th, leads 5-1 in the first set.

I just wonder if Giorgi can maintain this. She can't come into this confident after the run of results she has had.

I just wonder how well the game will stick together and it is very hard to do without matches behind you.

Kei Nishikori, the Japanese fifth seed,  has taken the second set against Australia's Sam Groth.

Another Briton flies into the fray.

National number four Dan Evans, up inside the world's top 100, is up against Jan-Lennard Struff.

It is a winnable one this. Evans is ranked just five places below world number 86 Struff and is coming into this on the back of a run to the last 16 in Nottingham.

    Berankis 0-1 *Willis

Marcus Willis is off to a flier.

He came onto court like he did not have a care in the world and has played like.

A delicious lob helped him to an early break of serve against Ricardas Berankis.

He has hit two whopping aces in his first service game as well.

  13. Marcus Willis on courtpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Berankis v Willis

Court 17 consists of three rows of seating along two sides of the court. They are jammed packed already with the court empty.

    With good reason.

    Here comes Marcus Willis.

The British number 23 and world number 772 has upset the odds to come through three rounds of qualifying and make the main draw.

And he is loving every minute.

He grins to the crowd, pumps his fist to a group of beery supporters in the corner who then respond with an amended version of Will Grigg's on Fire.

Opponent RIcardas Berankis looks a little bemused by it all. Knock-up underway.

You can watch that one live by picking the Court 17 stream above.

  14. Borg v McEnroe - the deciderpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

Come along and walk into my Wimbledon time machine...I've just arrived back in the early 80s.

These two chaps need little introduction. It's Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe!

Sort of. Italians Andrea Camarin (he's McEnroe) and Fabrizio Genovese (and he's Borg) are the two gents clad in tight 80s sportswear and scalp-sweating long wigs.

They've flown over from the small northern Italian city of Trevino and decided to rock out the fancy dress - like they do at home - for their first appearance at the All England Club.

Why? Because Andrea, 34, is a tennis club manager and the pair wanted to promote the sport in their city.

Fabrizio tagged along because he loves the retro headband, track top and short shorts look. And who doesn't.

"We searched for an idea to promote tennis in our city," says Andrea. "Fabrizio said 'why don't we go vintage?' So we did, dressed like it is the 70s/80s and it is funny."

Oh, and Borg won their mini match at the side of Court Seven by the way.

  15. Muguruza a future number one?published at 16:30 British Summer Time 27 June 2016

    Giorgi 2-6 1-0 Muguruza

    Sam Smith
Former British number one on BBC TV

I think it is highly likely.

Muguruza is a player with a lot of room for manoeuvre in terms of improving her game but she embraces it and wants to be number one and that is half of the battle.

Mugaruza looks calm, almost Serena-like on the court.

I don't think she is fazed by being out on Centre Court at all.
