British number one Andy Murray is out on his favoured practice court, working on his serve before his first round match against compatriot Liam Broady later today.

As always he's under the watchful eye of coachs Jamie Delgado and Ivan Lendl.

It's quite serene out here, tucked away in the corner of the Aorangi Park, and Murray's definitely got his game face on.

Bedene has got right back into match.

He was a little loose early on but Gasquet is going to have to step his game up to match Bedene here.

Tactically, Bedene has done his homework. He is looking at every opportunity to push to the Gasquet forehand because he doesn't want to get into loads of backhand exchanges.

The Australia fans are certainly getting in to the spirit of things over on court two, where regular Aussie villain of the piece Nick Kyrios and Radek Stepanek are facing off.

After that performance, I think an enforced Ausxit from Eurovision could be in order.

    Kyrgios 2-1 Stepanek*

Radek Stepanek has got the proverbial good touch for a big man. A delicate poke up the line wins a point against Nick Kyrios.

But the Australian maverick is on the trail of Stepanek's serve.

The fourth game heads to deuce.

Not the best of starts for British number two Aljaz Bedene who has his opening service game stolen against the head by Richard Gasquet.

What are all these white training cones being plonked down on Centre Court? Has Serena told her fitness coach she fancies doing a few sprint drills? No.

It's all to do with Hawk-Eye. The fella in the green shirt has been busily taking snaps of the 100 or so pads over the past 20 minutes. Apparently that is how the ball tracking system - used for contentious line calls - is set up.

    Stepanek v Kyrgios

Over on Court Two, wizened Czech veteran Radek Stepanek is knocking down some practice serves.

It must be chilly out over there, because both him and opponent Nick Kyrgios are sporting trackie tops.

Stepanek's compatriot and Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech is on hand to watch.

Cech has been down at Wimbledon for the past few days, he is practically a paid member of the entourage.

    Gasquet v Bedene

Enough of that nonsense. Time for tennis.

There are plenty of spare seats on Court Three as those who are in attendance await the arrival of British number two Aljaz Bedene and French seventh seed Richard Gasquet.

They have never met before. I quite fancy Bedene making this into quite the tussle.

Here they come. Bedene sporting a V-neck, Gasquet with a stiff collar. Entente cordiale suspended.

BBC Weather's Simon King: "After a great start to the Championship yesterday, the fine weather will continue for the first part of play today.  However, clouds will thicken, the breeze will pick up and rain will slowly move into Wimbledon later this afternoon.

"Current timings suggest the rain could be there from around 16:00 BST or 17:00 BST.  The rain could break up to give a few drier interludes into the evening but they may not last long and bad light might be an issue by then anyway.

"More rain is expected for most of Wednesday afternoon but Thursday and Friday are looking mostly dry."

What about if you fancy donning your pilth helmet and going hacking thorough the wilds in search of some hidden gems though?

Well, how about big bad John Isner's service bombs against Marcos Baghdatis free-wheeling Captain Jack Sparrow stylings? That match is third on Court 18.

Or Fernando Verdasco's shuddering southpaw forehand against the gifted wildchild of Aussie tennis Bernard Tomic? That is second on Court Two.

There is a former finalist third on Court 12 as Eugenie Bouchard tries to tune up her spluttering game against Magdalena Rybarikova.

Murray, Konta, Broady. But there are plenty more players sporting GBR next to their name today.

Men's number two Aljaz Bedene will have his hands full with the touch and panache of French racqueteer Richard Gasquet on Court Three.

Heather Watson - who last year served for the match against Serena Williams on Centre Court before going out to the eventual champion in the third round - takes on Annika Beck.

Seventeen-year-old Katie Swan - a former Australian Open juniors runner-up - makes her main-draw debut against Hungary's Timea Babos.

Tara Moore has Belgium's Alison van Uytvanck.

Over on Court One, there is another British number one in the second slot with Johanna Konta taking on the dangerous Puerto Rican Monica Puig.

Dangerous not least because she comes with the support of snaked-hipped Latin pop idol Ricky Martin.

Get Billy Bragg on the line. Or Ralph McTell. We can't be outgunned in the patriotic folk music stakes.

They will need to be down at Court One at around 15:00 BST to support Konta.

A day old and the Willis story is still providing about 600% of your RDA of patriotic feel-good factor.

The prize cut on the Centre Court platter today is Britain's perma-number one Andy Murray taking on national number six Liam Broady.

It is the first time that two Britons have faced each other in a singles match on Centre Court since Tim Henman beat Martin Lee in 2001.

Broady made the second round last year after a rousing five-set win over Marinko Matosevic that made a minor Twitter star of his beard.

That one is second up on Centre Court. Set your alarms for 14:30 BST and you should not be too far wrong.
