Tim Henman has just been on BBC Radio 2 speaking to Ken Bruce and he believes Andy Murray can go all the way at Wimbledon.

"I think Murray has a really good chance of winning. Djokovic is the man to beat. He has been so consistent at the highest level but I really like the way Murray has been playing. He had a fantastic clay court season and the defining factor for me is that Murray has never lost to Djokovic on grass. It is a great surface for Murray."

Light, but persistent, rain is dogging this south west corner of London.

Play has been knocked back to 12:15 BST at the earliest.

The forecast does not look too clever for the rest of the day either.

The man everyone is talking about here - Marcus Willis - has just been out on Centre Court, having a walk around, surveying the scene for what will surely be the biggest match of his life.

In a few hours, an expectant crowd will be in place and a seven-time champion will be eye-balling him from the other side of the net.

Breathe it in, son. Breathe it in.

  6. Play delayed until 11:45published at 11:32 British Summer Time 29 June 2016

We should be getting play under way out on the outside courts. But it is a slightly soggy scene around the All England Club. The start of play has been delayed until 11:45 BST.

It is only a light shower hopefully. This lady on the left is overdoing it by double-bagging herself against the elements.

Footage has turned up on YouTube, external of Marcus Willis scoffing down a Snickers bar and a can of cola during a changeover at a Challenger event in Knoxville in 2014.

The American television commentator rather brutally labels him "Cartman" as he struggles to believe Willis' nutrition strategy.

But Willis does the bizzo and gets his win.

Andy needs to believe he can beat Novak and that’s why I think Ivan Lendl is back in the picture, because he has won both his slams with him.

I’m waiting for the final piece of the puzzle with Murray, which is for him to dominate at the net. Not just to serve and volley, but to attack. He’s certainly got a better chance against Djokovic on grass.

Nick Kyrgios has the chance to be something spectacular.

I still believe he could be the best player in the world if he got his head together, but the jury is still out.

BBC Weather's Simon King: "It’s going to be quite a frustrating day with rain likely for much of the afternoon at Wimbledon.  Even if the rain stops from time to time, the drier interludes won’t last long preventing much if any play away from centre court.

"While there might be a few showers on Thursday and Friday, on the whole it’s looking much more promising with plenty of dry weather and some bright or sunny spells."

On Court 18, fourteenth seed Sam Stosur may have bitten off more than she can chew with a match against Sabine Lisicki, the grinning German world number 81 who made the 2013 final and is a serial second-week botherer at the All England.

Over on Court Seven, stereotypically stylish French world number 34 Jeremy Chardy against Steve Johnson, who won the Nottingham warm-up event, could be a sleeper hit.

Pack a thermos, sandwiches and distress flares if you are heading out to Court 16 - Nicolas Mahut - one half of the longest match of all time - is going up against grinder supreme David Ferrer. Should finish sometime around mid August.

While Andy Murray was busy knuckling down, climbing the rankings and zeroing in on Grand Slam titles, Marcus Willis was taking a more leisurely approach to his sport.

"I haven't seen Marcus much over the last four or five years but whenever I've spent any time with him, he just makes you smile and laugh. I don't know anyone that doesn't like him," Murray says in his BBC Sport column.

Murray also recounts a tale involving Willis taking an impromtu dip in the sea that is worth a click of your morning.

Ahead of that prince v pauper clash there is some essential reading from Jonathan Jurejko on the different worlds inhabited by Roger Federer and Marcus Willis.

While Federer has scooped £633,000 in winnings this year, Willis has just £220. While the Swiss has 1076 Tour-level wins, Willis has just the one.

While Willis's website has not been updated for two years, Federer's sells jigsaws of the great man.
