Katharine: Amazing effort by Sakkari but Venus pulls it off again🎾
V Williams 7-5 4-6 6-3 Sakkari
Tracy Austin
Former Wimbledon mixed doubles champion on BBC TV
Venus Williams was pushed today and somehow found an extra gear.
She was looking a little fatigued at the beginning of the third set but, as champions do, managed to dig deep when she needed it most.
V Williams 7-5 4-6 6-3 Sakkari
Five-time champion Venus Williams has sneaked past Greek wildcard Maria Sakkari 7-5 4-6 6-3 to make it into the third round.
She will now play world number 33 Daria Kasatkina.
Canadian ninth seed Milos Raonic hits his 25th and final ace of the match to beat Andreas Seppi in straight sets, 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 6-2
Benneteau 6-4 4-6 2-2 Nishikori
Both players have won a set, both players have won two games in the third set, and both players have won 81 points overall.
Kei Nishikori and Julien Benneteau are all-square on Centre Court.
This match is tenser than Marcus Willis' calf muscles after a three-setter with Roger Federer.
V Williams 7-5 4-6 5-2 Sakkari

Sakkari has learned a lot. Even if she does not win this match, she has checked off a lot of boxes about how her game matches up against the best.

Dark clouds are sweeping in from the left as you look out across Court 18. Venus Williams is aiming to see off Maria Sakkari before she feels drizzle dripping off his visor. But she had better be quick...
Seppi 6-7 4-6 2-6 Raonic
Big number from the big man out on Court Three.
Milos Raonic rains down 25 aces, lands with 72% of his serves and wins 85% behind the first serve when it is good against Andreas Seppi.
The Canadian will play Jack Sock next.
Chary 1-6 6-7 3-6 Johnson
American Steve Johnson is a man on the move. The 26-year-old is up to a career-high 29th in the world and will probably be moving higher after reaching the third round for the first time thanks to his win over Jeremy Chardy.
V Williams 7-5 4-6 3-2 Sakkari

This is all so new to Sakkari, she has played so few Grand Slams.
You feel like she's been knocking on the door, but can she go through the door? These are the matches you dream about as a little kid hitting against the backboard.
Sakkari, when asked who her idol was, said Serena Williams - so she hasn't met her yet.

There is no lack of ability with Dan Evans, it is the mind going up and down and in all directions. If you don't take care of that opportunity now, he'll probably never have it again.

Up on the rooftop of the Broadcast Centre, you see many familiar faces.
Current players doing post-match interviews, former players providing insight to the media, slick television presenters telling the world what is happening. And, today at least, a R'n'B/garage/pop career revivalist. Craig Daaaaaa-vid.
I tried to grab a word but he was 'Walking Away' and couldn't 'Rewind'. I'm sorry.

Niko Flores: Great game between Venus and Sakkari in court 18!
V Williams 7-6 4-6 2-1 Sakkari
Tracy Austin
Former Wimbledon mixed doubles champion on BBC TV
Venus has really slowed the pace of this match right down, taking just about all 20 seconds between each point.
Sakkari would like to play a lot quicker, she does everything quick. Venus is looking a little tired.
Venus has played five three-setters this year and won one. But you've got to couch that with tremendous respect for Venus for playing at this level.

Dimitrov 6-3 7-6 Simon
Bulgarian glamourpuss Grigor Dimitrov has sealed off the second set against Gilles Simon.
If he converts that lead into a win then he will face either Jeremy Chardy or Steve Johnson in the next round.
Most likely Nottingham Open winner Johnson as he is two sets to love up with a break in the third against Chardy on Court 19.
V. Williams 7-5 4-6 2-1 *Sakkari
Maria Sakkari from Greece pumps her fist and jumps with joy as she takes the second set against five-time Wimbledon winner Venus Williams.
V Williams 7-5 4-6 1-0 Sakkari
Tracy Austin
Former Wimbledon mixed doubles champion on BBC TV
So much of it depends on the energy level of Venus. She really seemed to deflate mid-second set, not moving as well or pushing up on her serve.
When she's sluggish on her ground steps, Sakkari is penetrating enough to get Venus on the defence.

What a day for Dan Evans. Earlier he reached the Wimbledon third round, setting up a meeting with Roger Federer. Now he has taken part in our #wimbleskills challenge!
This is how he got on (after light-heartedly moaning he was rubbish at football)...
