Andy Murray beat Lu in the second round of Wimbledon in 2013 and he has beaten him in the second round today. People say it is written in the stars, I'm not sure I buy that but it is a nice narrative.

Lu threw everything at him in the first set but Andy was just rock solid. Milman is more of the same for Murray. He will just have to focus, but things are going exactly as he will want so far in these championships.

Immense power off the Murray forehand, and that sets up match point - not this time, sticks it in the net. Another chance as Lu goes long, First serve long, second serve... into the net, and the double-fauit seals it. The easiest of peas for Murray, and he's into a third round clash with Australia's John Milman. Well played sir.

Titters all round as a top-edge off Lu's flailing racquet sails up invitingly into the crowd, only for a chunky man in an azure polo shirt to muff the catch. Went one-handed, possibly trying to be flash, left with egg all over his chops. Lu must hold to stay in the championships.

We had an earlier-than-usual start today on the outside courts with play getting underway at 11:00 BST.
And the organisers enjoyed it so much that they are going to get up bright and breezy on Friday and do the same again. Play remains at 13:00 BST on Centre and Court One.
