Back to advantage Konta, but she swipes into the net. Back to deuce...again.

And now advantage Konta again. Getting a bit repetitive, this.

Hurrah - the British number one pummels a backhand down court and she holds.

How low can you go? Eugenie Bouchard almost gets down on her knees as she hits a double-handed winner. And now she has three break points.

Bouchard takes a tumble on the baseline as she loses one, and loses a second with a way-ward backhand.

The third also goes a-begging when she returns into the net. Nice save from Konta.

The Briton scrambles the advantage but we soon go back to deuce.

Ally Siu: If Konta can build on this momentum by keeping cool and making great decisions then she's easily capable of dispatching Bouchard.

Jo's started to release a little and feel comfortable in her game.

That was an important hold for Bouchard, starting to dictate the point again, and it might just plant a small seed of doubt in Konta's mind that it's not all going to go her way in this set.

  5. Thiem's delightful backhanderpublished at 19:11 British Summer Time 30 June 2016

Austrian Dominic Thiem draws cheers from the crowd with a backhander straight down the line. The eighth seed is currently trailing Jiri Vesly from Czech Republic, 6-7 (4-6) 4-3

Hold to love. Nice work, Eugenie.

This is impressive stuff. You think about where Jo must have been mentally after that first set. It looked like her game had deflated but it has picked up nicely now.

    *Bouchard 6-3 0-3 Konta

Jo Konta pulls her third ace out the bag, which lands down the T-zone.

But the Brit hits wide and then screws up a drop shot, and Bouchard has two break points.

Konta saves one with another body-blow ace and saves another with a low forehand. Deuce!

Another replayed point occurs after the umpire overules a line judge.

Eventually, Konta holds. An important hold, at that.

Because of how the first set slipped away after such a positive start, Konta has to compose herself and remind herself what she has to do.

She'll have a game plan, just revisit that and settle down again.

"Come on," yells Jo Konta as she earns two break points.

Eugenie Bouchard snatches one back with a forehand winner but then the Canadian plants a shot just past the baseline.

    Konta breaks!

Johanna Konta comes out fighting - she scoops a lovely double-handed backhand winner over the net to rapturous applause to take the first point of the set.

And she holds when Bouchard fails to return a huge serve.

That's more like it from the British number one. Pump it up.

Ting, ting, ting - three set points to Bouchard.

One almighty serve down the middle hands it to her.

    The 22-year-old Canadian - a finalist in 2014 - is looking strong.

Jo has this beautiful crowd here and she needs to use that to her advantage to get her going.

She really needs to use this moment to turn this set around.

Konta needs to focus on good footwork and keeping the arm loose, but it is easier said than done. I feel the nerves for these two young ladies and nerves will play a big part in this match.

Ana Konjuh, of Croatia, plays an exquisite drop shot on her way to serving out the second set against Agnieszka Radwanska. The third seed Radwanksa won the first set, but Konjuh has broken in the third to lead 2-6 6-4 4-2.

Johanna Konta looks proper narked as she goes to have a word with the umpire about a dodgy call. The shot was in, but we replay it as Eugenie Bouchard returned it.

But the frustration seems to galvanize the British number one. She holds to make Bouchard serve for the set.

The crowd cheer as Johanna Konta is successful with a challenge and the point - which was handed to Bouchard - is replayed.

We have another challenge from Konta now. HawkEye's a busy boy/girl. This time it doesn't go in her favour.

    And Bouchard holds to love.
