    *Bouchard 4-2 Konta

Johanna Konta smacks an almighty ace down court and Eugenie Bouchard can only swat the air in reply.

Konta then tries and succeeds with a little drop shot. Lovely stuff.

But Bouchard begins to work her opponent hard across the back of the court, and we go to deuce, before the Canadian gains another break point.

And she secures the break when Konta swipes into the net.

We are not going to see a lot of approaches to the net. They are going to boss and bully each other from the back of the court.

  5. Bouchard breaks backpublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 30 June 2016

    *Bouchard 2-2 Konta

Gaaaah. Johanna Konta tries to go for a delicate drop shot and it fails to climb the net.

And then two low backhands go past the whitewash.

Break back points for Bouchard (love a bit of alliteration).

One goes amiss for the Canadian, but she does break after Konta flies the ball past the baseline.

It has been stunning to watch the rise of Konta and to see how strong she is mentally.

Both players are pinned back behind their respective baselines, making some super powerful ground strokes.

It's Johanna Konta who's taken control, though. She has three break points and needs only one chance to seal the game - with a gorgeous backhand.

    *Bouchard 1-1 Konta

Johanna Konta looks strong on her second serve, as she goes 40-0 up on her opening service game.

She drives a forehand long, but holds on the next attempt.

    Bouchard 1-0 Konta*

Johanna Konta gets off to a decent start - she moves 0-30 up on Eugenie Bouchard's serve.

But the Canadian slams a winner into the bottom corner to level things up, and then pings a forehand into the opposite corner.

She hits past the baseline on the next point for deuce, but Bouchard does eventually hold.

Ally Siu: Two of my favourites on centre court next! Conflicted as to who to support, think it'll have to be GB's Konta

Vicky Austen: Murray looks great heading to R3. Now Konta vs Bouchard: as a Brit living in Canada this is testing my loyalties

    Bouchard 0-0 Konta

Here we are then, the third match of day four on Centre Court.

Eugenie Bouchard of Canada - number 48 in the world and former Wimbledon finalist- takes on British number one Johanna Konta in the second round.

Just had a brisk walk around the grounds and it was spitting a little bit, but hopefully the rain stay off and the roof stays open.

The people of Britain have spoken.

Well, some of the readers of this live text.

Anyway, you were asked how far Andy Murray is going to get in this year's Wimbledon.

And 32% backed him to go on to lift his second Wimbledon title.

The most popular prediction was a runner-up finish with 47% predicting that he would feature in the final but not the Champions Dinner.

Good news. Zero per cent of respondents thought that he will lose against John Millman in the next round.

    Murray 6-3 6-2 6-1 Lu

Some more quotes from Andy Murray, who has comfortably moved into the third round at Wimbledon.

"There were a few rain drops around and the ground staff were moving to the edge of the court," Murray tells BBC Sport. "Luckily at that point I had a decent lead as when the rain is coming you are anxious to get off but it was good to get the match done before the rain came.

"Marcus Willis' story was great and everyone loved the way he handled everything and it was just unbelievable the way he came out yesterday and fought and played against Roger Federer. Everyone that follows sport in this country, and a few fans that weren't into sport, would've enjoyed that."

  19. 'A good start'published at 18:09 British Summer Time 30 June 2016

    Lu 3-6 2-6 1-6 Murray

Andy Murray: "First set was tough. There were a lot of close games, I managed to hang on at the end of the first and then settled down towards the end of the second and was hitting the ball much better in third and feeling more comfortable.

"If you can win matches easily it does help because you can rest.  It has been a good start. I will just try and do my best - work hard, keep my head down and hopefully have a good tournament."
