The last game was just what the doctor ordered if you're looking at it from Raonic's perspective. To get into this 4-5 game having held to love is a great advantage.

It has been a feature of Federer's career, how reliable his first serve has been under pressure.

    Roger is dodging today.

Can Marin Cilic squash him flat in this shoot-out?

    Querrey 4-6 5-7 7-5 4-4 Raonic*

A lovely slice from Milos Raonic and a poor volley from Sam Querrey takes the score to deuce.

Who can gain the advantage? It's server Querrey, after Raonic hits out.

But a clean forehand winner from the Canadian takes us back to deuce.

However, Querrey eventually holds with a sensational backhand down the line. Level again!

    Jeff Tarango

It is almost like Roger Federer needs to think more and Marin Cilic needs to think less. You would say to Cilic, 'no more thinking, just bombs away'.

Every point now is now loaded with weight, its conclusion marked with gutteral groans or giddy cheers.

Roger Federer punches away a forehand to peg the hysteria up another notch and move to 15-30.

Marin Cilic eases away a forehand to a significantly less rapturous response.

Cilic wears his man down in a seismic rally on the next point earning his half of appreciative applause from the stands and 40-30.

Federer over-cooks on the final point.

How is that service arm feeling now? He must hold serve to stay alive.

    Peter Fleming

I would say it's neck and neck right now in terms of who is playing best. Querrey has pegged Raonic back a little bit. It was always going to be difficult for Raonic to continue playing as he did in sets one and two.

    *Querrey 4-6 5-7 7-5 3-4 Raonic

These two have the crowd ooohing and ahhing all over the place.

The Court One pair are locked in a brilliant rally and Raonic tracks back to the baseline to chase a Sam Querrey shot as he tries to send backhand down the line with his back to the net.

It doesn't quite make it - it lands just wide of the whitewash - but everyone appreciated the effort.

Raonic holds and we still go with serve.
