    Robson 3-4 Haddad Maia*

Ooh. A double fault from Robson again, the Brit looking shaky on serve, is followed up a belting forehand winner that sends Haddad Maia sprawling.

Robson saves a break point as Haddad Maia overworks a forehand, and that's a good hold for the Brit.

    *Shapovalov 2-4 Janowicz

Might have put the mockers on Denis Shapovalov earlier by praising his serve.

Jerzy Janowicz has broken the Canadian and then held to lead 4-2.

    *Robson 2-4 Haddad Maia

The longest rally of this match so far is just six strokes - when Robson tries to go long and force Haddad Maia to move across the court, she ends up slapping the ball out.

Another big serve from the Brazilian, pushed out wide, is sent flying high out of play by Robson, and Haddad Maia wins a brief tussle at the net as she stretches her long arms into a backhand.

    *Tsonga 2-3 Norrie

We're still going with serve on court two, where Wimbledon debutant Cameron Norrie off of old Blighty is taking on SW19 veteran and 12th seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Norrie was only 12 years old when Tsonga played his first Wimbledon match in 2007. Yikes.

    Kyrgios 3-3 Herbert*

Is Nick Kyrgios in trouble here early on?

Not in terms of Pierre-Hugues Herbert's play over the other side of the net, but in terms of his own fitness.

The erratic Australian is continually trying to flex and stretch that troublesome hip injury that he's carrying.

His serve is still absolutely belting, mind. A thumping ace to hold and level it at 3-3 against the Frenchman.

    Robson 2-3 Haddad Maia*

A double fault from Robson brings about a grimace of annoyance from the Brit. She's not finding it all that easy out there.

That's a good hold, though, Robson smashing a forehand to the right as Haddad Maia is rooted to the left.

    *Shapovalov 2-2 Janowicz

Denis Shapovalov is perhaps still most famous for thwacking umpire Arnaud Gabas, leading to his defaulting in the Davis Cup against Kyle Edmund.

The young Canadian did recently beat Edmund at Queen's though. He's up against Poland's Jerzy Janowicz, a semi-finalist here in 2013.

Shapovalov races through his first two service games, testing Janowicz on his but the Pole holds and it's 2-2 early on.

  10. Federer presses the fleshpublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

Seven-time champion Roger Federer has been strolling around these lawns for the best part of 20 years now - he won the junior title in 1998 - so it's hardly a surprise he knows a lot of folk in these parts. He is extremely friendly about it, too - I counted that he shook hands with more than 20 people in the space of 20 yards as he made his way to his practice court. Suffice to say, all camera lenses in the vicinity are now trained on him as well.

    *Robson 1-3 Haddad Maia

Robson swishes at the air in annoyance as she meets a Haddad Maia serve right into the corner of the court and just wafts it loosely out of play.

There's some good change up from the Brazilian, Robson unable to work out where the bal is coming down, and another ace tidies up the game.

    Robson 1-2 Haddad Maia*

That's a much better game from Laura Robson, tidying it up with a 102mph ace.

She holds her serve 40-15, and she looks a little more sure of herself as she moves around the court.

  14. Brit Norrie in actionpublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Tsonga 0-1 Norrie

This is sure to be a memorable day for 21-year-old Cameron Norrie.

The British wildcard entry is taking on two-time Wimbledon semi-finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on court two.

Norrie, who was born in South Africa and lives in Texas, has held his opening service game against the world number 10. You can watch the action here.

    *Robson 0-2 Haddad Maia

Beatriz Haddad Maia has a cracking serve up her sleeve. She's not quite so comfortable as Robson targets her forehand, and an overworked forehand hands Robson a break point.

Can the Briton take it? No! A bobble off the net lands in Haddad Maia's favour, the ball trickling over the net, and the Brazilian holds with an ace.

  16. Venus arrives for Wimbledon number 20published at 11:47 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

Last year's women's champion Serena Williams is not defending her title because she is pregnant but big sister Venus, a five-time winner, is here for the 20th time at the age of 37.

Venus, seeded 10th, is first on No.1 Court at 13:00 BST when she plays Belgium's Elise Mertens... she will hopefully have found her racquets by then.

  17. Haddad Maia gets early breakpublished at 11:47 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Robson 0-1 Haddad Maia*

Laura Robson will serve first up, as she continues her return from a wrist injury. It starts well for the Briton but she looks a little shaky on that second serve, and Haddad Maia breaks with a superb forehand return that beats Robson!

Not the start she'll have been looking for.

    Robson v Haddad Maia

Laura Robson. Remember her? Of course you do.

The 2008 Wimbledon girls' champion, who also memorably reached the last 16 of the ladies' draw in 2013, is back on familiar territory.

She's opening up on court 18 against Brazil's world number 97 Beatriz Haddad Maia, who is making her Wimbers debut.

Robbo has dropped to a ranking of 189 after struggling with fitness and form over the past three years. Can a Wimbledon appearance reignite her career?

Huge cheers for the British wildcard as she walks to the baseline in front of a packed crowd.

Robson, ranked 189th in the world, takes a long sip of water as her opponent sends a few serves down. You can watch that match here.
